FIVE THOUSAND LOST THEIR LIVES FOR THE WANT OF ......

FIVE THOUSAND LOST THEIR LIVES FOR THE WANT OF TWO THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY DOLLARS.

New Release

Ponder for a moment.

We trust a pilot with a 30 million-dollar plane knowledgeable of complex airplane functions, but government policy will not allow them to operate anti terrorist tools.

Israel Airlines bolts the Cockpit door and all Pilots and copilots carry Firearms.

Scanning the websites this week the following thread from Pilots, Law Enforcement, and American Citizens discuss ways to take positive action against airplane terrorism.

We trust a fancy security question (Thanks to Jim Kallstom, former FBI, did you pack your bags?) but not trust millions of active and retired law enforcement officers to Citizen Carry on an airplane. They should be outraged.

I’LL FLY AGAIN WHEN PILOTS ARE ARMED.

May I rant for a second! Get these liberal, antigun activists out of our government decision making process. Consider, Israel Airlines policy bolt the door, arms it pilots, and has armed travelers in the cabin.

We allow lowly-paid gate-guards to gate dis-arm us, creating a "killing zone of disarmed citizens", as passingers "do battle" in the sky with terrorists, using passion for weapons because misguided government policy has left us defenseless.

The government can not protect you when the terrorist is eyeball to eyeball with you. Now they have ban my pocketknife used to clean my nails. What next, my shoelaces becasue terrorists can make a rope weapon??

Most all of the former military pilots strapped firearms to their legs when they served their county. Today they are considered not capable, wear the wrong uniform, or untrust worthy.

This BS about putting a 9mm hole in the skin of an airplane will bring it down is more rhetoric and fiction than fact. Just ask the thousand of airmen who returned from flights over Germany in WWII. How about the 747 over Hawaii with a 20-foot hole in the side. Still got a problem with possible decompression? Consider the alternative!

I’ll trust anyday my life to any active or retired law enforcement officer to CITIZEN CARRY on any airline.

I’ll trust anyday my life to any pilot or copilot active or retired to carry on any airline.

I’ll trust any American citizen willing to CITIZEN CARRY after extensive training to carry on any airline. It is a huge responsibility, however, the current "Killing Zones" set up by faulty thinking is killing our husbands, wives, children, and our nation.

I am sure thousands perhaps millions of American’s would trust their life to armed pilots, copilots, air crew members, retired, policemen, FBI, CIA, ATF, or American Citizens willing to train, quality, and stay current with cabin safety issues keeping America airlines safe.

I personally trust all of the above personnel, rather than phony security questions, low-pay air guards, unlocked backdoor food and cleaning functions or gates at airports, or government officials with big titles.

WHO DO YOU TRUST THE GOVERNMENT? OR DO YOU TRUST HONEST AMERICAN CITIZENS WHO LIVE AND BREATH FAMILY SAFETY WHEN TRAVELING?

What do you want in your cockpit, a pilot and copilot with a firearm, or a terrorist?

2,180 dollars (four colt pistols or glock)would have prevented all four terrorist acts and five thousand dead would be having dinner with their families this evening.

Government will spend billions of dollars with highly visible, and very breach-able security that irritates American citizens during check-in when one additional layer can greatly enhanse passenger security. Pilots want want to die without fighting, but not me.

Thousands of American veterans, retired Law Enforcement Officers and American Citzens want to sign up today to fight terrorism. Don't tell them they are unqualified.

If you do tell them they are unqualifed, they may have a word or two for you. Something about pounding sand where the sun does not shine.

Visit keepandbeararms to carry the fight.

If you're going to lock the cockpit (which, I agree, should be done), what good would arming the pilot and co-pilot do?

Air marshalls are a good idea. However, I think anyone who ever makes a move on a flight attendant again will be jumped and severely beaten.

The pilot on 10 hour flights will be peeing in rubber boots and cabin air crews will be dead.

Consider the following:

1—Midway Airlines has suspended operations because of market concerns, caused by the recent hijackings of competitors aircraft by armed terrorist over unarmed passengers and crew.

Midway Airline’s management surmises there will not be enough flying passengers during the next several months to allow Midway Airlines to generate the revenue needed to avoid complete financial collapse.

2—Amendment II, U.S. Constitution: “A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

A---The dictionary definition of the word “bear” states, “ to wear on oneself.”

B---The dictionary definition of the word “arms” states, “ a weapon, esp. a firearm.”

C---The dictionary definition of the word “firearm” states, “a weapon, esp. a pistol…”

The unconstitutional FAA regulations prohibiting U.S. citizens from exerting their constitutionaly protected "right to...bear arms" on an aicrcraft, can be held directly responsible as an accommplice to the terrorist turning a commercial aircraft into a bomb using knives.

Let's see what airline has the best and well educated constitutional law experts on the payroll, to defend and implement the following marketing plan, designed to attract passengers, producing needed revunue:

“Attention fellow U.S. citizens. Provide a notarized birth certificate or notarized naturalization document upon boarding of our aircraft, proving you are an U.S. citizen and you can fly to all of this airline's destinations, exerting your enumerated, unalienable right to “bear arms.”

You are invited and encouraged to bring your “arms,” worn in full view of all, onto the aircraft and to enjoy the virtual full security of knowing that the aircraft you are on will not be hijacked.

You and your fellow passengers will be the “force” and “deterrent” to the threat of hijacking by terrorist.

Exert your unalienable, God given right, guaranteed to be inviolate of any enacted law or regulation, by the Second Amendment.

And, welcome aboard.”

I contend that every seat will be full.

Take the alcohol off the planes and I'm with you.

Drunks with guns are just as dangerous as hijackers.

I agree that alcohol and firearms can make for a dangerous mixture.

But this prohibition is not to be a FAA regulation.

Again, the airline that wishes to attract the most passengers with this marketing plan, of exerting the Second Amendment right to enhance the security of their airline from terrorist, would be smart to also advertise and market that they will not be serving alcohol on their flights as well, in order to attract passengers like you.

And what happens when you land in another state?

I agree, but we need to get all of the unconstitutional laws overturned, federal and state.

"I think anyone who ever makes a move on a flight attendant again will be jumped and severely beaten."

I'm not as optimistic as you. Remember, just recently how some people have behaved in the air, throwing massive hissy fits when they don't get something they want and attacking flight attendants who tried to calm them down? I hope that kind of misbehavior by passengers on airplanes will not be tolerated any longer(and my guess is that the penalties will be stiffened due to the difficulty of distinguishing it from the initial stages of genuine terrorism on a plane), but I still wonder if the spoiled brat people who pull that kind of crap will be right back in action after this has died down a bit.

I'd wager the amount of air rage is going to go way down for a good while.

If someone makes an aggressive move on any flight I'm on, I'll risk jail to put the SOB back in his or her seat.

But I think removing alcohol from planes would help immensely.

This is an example of chaos theory - a small effect (Bin Laden and 20 followers) leveraging 5000 lives and 40 billion dollars of real estate. You can't predict chaos, it just happens. It's not worth going to exorbitant lengths to fix a problem that is unlikely to ever happen again.

We now have near 6000 DEAD in NYC, The so called airport security has been shown to be a farce. We have the constitutional right to keep and bear arms. We have allowed ourselves to be disarmed when going into circumstances that history has shown to have a high degree of risk and a need for a real means of defense and protection. The tragic debacle in NYC clearly proves that a total reliance on the govt. for protection usually has a bad end. It's time to reclaim lost rights.

I need to sound off! I am so angry right now. I know that the following probably has nothing to do with this thread but I need to get this off my chest. I am tired of hearing Muslims talking that they are not part of this radical group but yet today on the radio two of the hijacking terrists (mispelled) lived in San Diego for awhile and visited the home of the muslim "head cleric" numberious times but claims he did not know they were radical. I am tired of seeing the rapist traitor and his evil wife who as far as I can see is just as guilty as those who drove those planes into the buildings. How dare they come out and mug for the camera when they don't give a damn about any one of us. I am tired of the liberal media and their BS. I had the opportunity this week-end to sit with a "wasp" and her husband, retired Air force. She flew planes during WWII and he was a flight instructor during the war. I was in awe and had the upmost respect till they told me they watched Peter Jennings and this is where they got their news. To say I was shocked, was to put it mildly. I asked them if they had the opportunity to watch Fox News. They replied yes but I don't think they have. I told them Peter Jennings was a traitor to this Country and should not be on the air. Needless to say, we changed the subject. I am tired of hearing liberals whether it be the media, politicians, students, professors, etc etc etc, talked about how we can not go and kill innocent people. My question is what do we call the over 5000 that died last Tuesday, So tell me, Mr, Mrs, Miss and whatever Liberal, what do we call them? Obviously they were not innocent....I am tired of hearing about companies, schools etc that do not want anyone to display a flag, wear a flag, etc, because it may be considered too political...WHAT!!! How many lifes will it take before displaying our flag will not be considered political? How many? Mr, Mrs, Miss, Whatever Liberal, HOW MANY???? My son-in-law is in the Navy and will likely be in harm's way. I hate the thought that this young man, who I could not love more than if I gave birth to him, may loose his life for these idiots who could care less and not appreciate the sacifice that he, my daughter and granddaugher may give. I am at a point that this Country should be divided in two sections. Take all the liberal socialists and put them on one side, build a 100,000 ft high concrete wall so they can't come over. Barricade it with landmines. I don't understand how anyone can listen to these idiots and be so blind, dumb and deaf. Thanks for letting me rant!! This is the first time since the bombing that I can finally cry. I am so proud of my son. I am so proud of all that serve in our Military. I am so proud of all the rescue workers in NY and Washington DC. I am so proud of President Bush and am so grateful he is the Commander-in-Chief that will lead my son. Thanks Freepers for allowing me to VENT.

Right now all the airlines want to attract is your tax dollars. They do not care a flying flip about anyones safety and have spent years fighting security regulations. If they had had good security measures in place men with plastic knives and box cutters would not have been able to overpower the crew. Now they want a reward.

I'd wager the amount of air rage is going to go way down for a good while.

I'd wager the amount of customer service the airlines deliver will increase for a good while.

AMEN CHICAGOFARMER! AMEN!!

THE ENTIRE EPISODE COULD HAVE BEEN AVERTED HAD EACH OF THOSE PLANES HAD STRONGER COCKPIT DOORS AND THOSE FOUR CAPTAINS HAD CRUMBY $300. PISTOLS IN THEIR FLIGHT BAGS!

WE SIMPLY MUST ASK OUR "LEADERS" WHY THEY DID NOT!!

AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE THAT PLAN, ASK THE SURVIVORS OF THE 5,000 FORMER AMERICANS IF THEY WOULD AGAIN TRADE THEIR LOVED ONES TO APPEASE THE OH-SO DELICATE SENSIBILITIES OF ROSIE O'DONNELL, SARAH BRADY AND THE NUTS AT HANDGUN CONTROL. ANYBODY ELSE WONDER WHY WE HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THEM SINCE 9-11?

As America continues to reel from the catastrophic events of 9/11, we need to rethink a few things:

It’s probably time to train and ARM the cockpit crews of US carriers who agree to the program. Pilots and FOs who do not want the responsibility can be exempted. It was, after all, the folks controlling the aircraft who were the targets on Terrible Tuesday.

During the rash of hijackings of a few decades ago, the feds put armed “AIR MARSHALS” on many flights. While some correctly argued that a fuselage punctured by a bullet at 35,000 feet MIGHT – repeat MIGHT bring the plane down – hijackings fell off.

One thing we know for sure about the four craft hijacked on 9/11: They ALL CAME DOWN and THEY ALL DIED!!

And to those who will inevitably – and stupidly – argue that pilots and FOs just cannot be trusted with the decision about when it’s time to pull a trigger, better tell the up to 400 folks sitting in the back that the guys up front are judgment-impaired!

Personally, I’d prefer to take my chances with a rapid decompression than watch some madman take MY flight into a building or the ground at 500 mph. That was the final experience of 266 fellow humans on 9/11. I KNOW I – like they – won’t survive that!

And pay VERY close attention to the "solutions" being offered by those in government: They are NOT talking about REMOVING the limitations they have ALREADY placed on us as individuals to DEFEND OURSELVES. They are beginning to talk about FURTHER RESTRICTIONS on our liberties and MORE GOVERNMENT! More GOVERNMENT? The same GOVERNMENT that failed so miserably in its obligation to protect citizens that 5,000 of them died like cattle in a slaughterhouse on September 11th? THAT GOVERNMENT?? </font color=red>

It’s again the old, old story: There aren’t TOO many weapons out there. It’s that the touchy-feely, warm-fuzzy PC crowd now sees to it that all too frequently, THE WRONG PEOPLE HAVE THEM!

Make sure all the flight attendants have access to a taser. Zap those idiots, let them sleep off the rest of the flight, and have the cops greet them at the next stop.

Several of my friends have a right to carry concealed weapons. I am quite comfortable when I am with them be it in my house or theirs or my car or theirs. I would be quite comfortable with them carrying concealed on an airplane with me. What is the problem?
