Ron: I understand your feelings, but McVeigh is no better then these Muslim fanatics. Freeh did catch McVeigh after all. Yes, it was time for Freeh to go, but I believe he was an honorable person. Every law enforcement agency has screwed up, it can't micro-manage every worker or aspect of its operations. I know the Freeh family personaly and while I'm willing to admit there were mistakes made, his loyalty to this country is awesome. The only reason why Klinton never got rid of him was because both Repbulicans and Dems found him to extremely honest and forthcoming. I know personally when you look at the complexity of the legal system and the amount of crime that is out there it is no wonder that mistakes like this unfold.

Can I disagree here....the big beef I have with him was he signed off on Project Megiddo which in large part said

Conservative Christian=Right-wing Extremist=Domestic Terrorist

For your reading pleasure:

The Making of Project Megiddo & THE SECRET AGENDA TO DESTROY CHRISTIANITY IN AMERICA

This is a two-part study entitled The Making of Project Megiddo & The Secret Agenda to Destroy Christianity in America. It delves into the FBI's Project Megiddo (PM) report and into the writings of the three primary outside authorities who, it is believed, were relied upon for the report's support material. It appears that the personal beliefs and agendas of these sources are in large part now reflected in the government report.

Mat...I respect your personal loyalty regards Freeh. I do not recall Freeh taking the responsibility for Ames in CIA or for Hannsen right in his own backyard. One thing may be said in his behalf, the FBI has never been known for having directors that were capable, ones that did not play politics, thus he joins the long list including Hoover to present.

If Freeh's loyalty to this country is indeed awesome..
Somebody had some equally awesome stuff on him to make sure he didn't show it!

Someone had better be looking hard and long into the real crimes committed against America in the past decade...
The ones that allowed this to come to pass.

Did you the Robert Hanssen family, too? Bet their loyalty was awesome! "there were mistakes made,..." Gosh, that has a familiar ring to it.

--maybe he's a fervent flag waver, it still doesn't excuse his incompetency and the evil his agency has engaged in. They shafted weaver big time. His employee, horribleuichi, is a murderer. And they blew it on this past week's attack. It was a complete and utter failure, no other words for it. He needs to voluntarily resign, if he has any honor left and is a patriot. He's over his head, he's a prime example of the peter principle in effect in governmental management. He has skewed priorities, and mis-manages his people. These various fedcop outfits put too much emphasis on things like "controlling and investigating" ripped off farmers in klamath falls, and ignore for the most part the actual foreign murdering threats to this nation. Time for freeh to leave.

I agree, I actually found him to be a surprisingly decent and honest guy for a clinton appointee.
