Is it not ironic that the head of the FBI and the Clinton admin spent 8 years going after Americans...as Gary Aldrich pointed out yesterday
We were even given a new set of "enemies" to consider. Call it a distraction. We were told that the real threat was not from some Islamic fundamentalists who vowed to commit terrorist acts to bring us to our knees. No, Bill Clinton and Janet Reno and their friends on Capitol Hill and in the media spoke as one voice about the home-grown threat posed by church-going Americans, protesting against partial birth abortion.
And then they demonized well-organized militia groups with - gasp - actual guns! who were complaining about Clinton's liberal agenda. They were considered suspicious because they expressed absolute disgust for our Commander in Chief.
I submit these same bearded, flannel-shirted "suspicious characters" are now running the backhoes and girder cutters in New York City, working around the clock until they drop from exhaustion, attempting to do what real Americans have always done.
Meanwhile, the "girly-men" Liberals and their strident molls scratch their heads and wonder how and why Tuesday happened. After all, weren't they nice to these terrorists? Didn't they display the correct amount of tolerance for another peoples' religious beliefs? Didn't Hillary Clinton actually embrace and kiss Arafat's wife?
From a Salon piece..The hyping of domestic terrorism
Just over a year ago, on Feb. 4, 1999, Freeh testified on the subject of terrorism before the Senate Appropriations Committee's Subcommittee on the departments of Commerce, Justice and State. Freeh's testimony was overlooked in every news account this week, but his detailed evaluation makes the Bremer Commission's hold on reality appear tenuous. "The frequency of terrorist incidents in the United States has decreased in number," Freeh emphasized. Since the World Trade Center bombing of 1993, Freeh pointed out, "no single act of foreign-directed terrorism has occurred on American soil."
Support for violent revolutionaries emanating from Cuba and North Korea, he noted, "appear to have declined" with those nations' economic free falls. Even the American cells of violent Middle East political movements as Hamas and Hezbollah, Freeh declared, are devoted exclusively to "fundraising and low-level intelligence gathering."
Just how much terrorism is not much? Freeh testified that in fiscal 1998, the FBI prevented 10 planned "terrorist acts." Not one emanated from abroad. Nine of the 10 "terrorist acts" were planned by a single, small cluster of Illinois white supremacists hoping to assassinate Holocaust scholar Simon Wiesenthal and Morris Dees, the anti-Klan crusader who runs the Southern Poverty Law Center. The other forestalled attack involved a lone individual, a militia type, from Washington state.
Foreign students did not figure in Freeh's account at all. Indeed, Freeh told Congress that the main threat of terrorist violence comes not from foreign sources but from the overlapping constituencies of the far right: abortion-clinic assassins, Christian Identity militias and the like.
Talk about a blown call :-)
This is a ridiculous exageration. You may not think either one did a good job. You may believe they made mistakes. Whatever. But traitors? Come on. Get a grip on yourself.
They're Traitors because they had and have Knowledge of traitorous acts by government officials right up to the President, and they did Nothing to stop it. Their Money comes first.
Under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, wiretaps are at an all-time high and the number rises every year. Yet the Bremer Commission proposes removing the few insulating layers of Justice Department review -- essentially letting the FBI set its own, independent wiretap agenda. The Anti-Terrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act, a draconian package passed by Congress in 1996, gives the president the broadest authority to prosecute suspected "terrorists" in American history, yet not a single instance of "terrorist fundraising" has surfaced for prosecution. (One of the few worthwhile recommendations in the report -- apparently a sop to commissioner Juliette Kayyem, an Arab-American and Justice Department attorney -- is ending the "secret evidence" trials permitted under that same 1996 law.)
These two paragraphs from the SALON story make the whole thing even WORSE. After all the elephantine growth of "counterintelligence," the fact the FBI had three of the kamikaze camel jockeys in their custody and let them go, and Israel requested extradition on another, STILL 19 camel jockeys armed with plastic knives were able to murder over 5000 Americans, shut down the entire air transport system, and destroyed part of the Pentagon.
They didn't catch Eric Rudolph, either.
It just dawned on me. Maybe this is why the ITALIANS are chickening out of the war.
I agree, I actually found him to be a surprisingly decent and honest guy for a clinton appointee.
Cheney was invisible for weeks. I tried to scout him out but couldn't find mention of him. He resurfaced AFTER the event, but situated and separated from 'the president', as would be wise.
Now he's everywhere. The question to me is --- Does this not seem like another indication of Foreknowledge?
It seems to me that at the highest levels there was total appreciation of a threat of imminent attack. There was much attention to the Sucession sequence. Does it to you?
Bush runs domestic policy, as indicated by his appearing before an elementary school class, posing as National School Superintendent on the morning of the attack, as the soccermoms expect that from Presidents since Clinton. Cheney runs foreign policy from the White House basement, and anyone who thinks Cheney isn't in contact with BUSH THE ELDER is politically naive.
Something these boys thought they had a handle on was running away from them. That is the gist I am getting from the other threads posted in the past 24 hours. The FBI was searching for the camel jockeys for three weeks before the attacks, and Cheney was nowhere to be found. They were trying to resolve this on the QT.
Clinton had no more domestic attacks like the OKC bombing after he pulled CIA's teeth, if they ever had any, in infiltrating terrorist groups. After OKC, and Clinton forbidding infiltration of the cells, there were NO MORE ATTACKS IN THE DOMESTIC US, but only attacks on US targets abroad. Clinton responded with useless "showtime" cruise missile attacks on unrelated targets. Bubba made a deal with bin Laden to lay off the interior US until after he was out of office. That is what I think happened. In the intervening years, the camel jockeys planned for what they would do once Clinton was gone, and the deal would be over. That is about the time the flight training began, and after five years the plotters were ready, and Bush had been in office only eight months. Reports began to flow in that something big was in the works shortly after Bubba left office. The boys thought they could control it without having to alert the public. Freeh told Congress he had a handle on the cells, and had informants inside. When the boys realized Freeh's well was dry after a couple of months of pumping, he resigned suddenly. The boys kept scrambling, trying to bag one of the camel jockeys in hopes it would deter the others from acting. TOO LATE.
This is just my opinion, based on the timeline known to this date.
The two mobs are definitely at "Wahr".
Let's focus on some solutions, e.g., deport all illegal aliens IMMEDIATELY. There are millions of illegals here in this country. Can you KNOW what there agenda is by looking at them?
Let's get the citizen militia mobilized, fully armed, and licensed to cross state lines with weapons. Let's get them (YOU AND ME)trained on the basic use of weapons (for those in doubt) and allow them to carry concealed ALL THE TIME!!!
Let's lift the restrictions on spying on terrorists here and abroad.
And those are just a few of the things to get done.
There is MUCH TO DO. Let's focus on getting it done and worry about the idiots who got us into this later (those idiots being the American people, by the way!).
