You are right, of course, but most [polus] will not repent because they are tightening their seatbelt for the ride down the broad way to destruction, having believed the lies of the false prophets and Nicolaitan overlords. So many refuse to hear and have been given over to believe a lie. So many say they are Christians but are really Secular Humanists rejecting every sign the Lord has sent and tearing out every piece of truth from their Bibles that they choose not to agree with. The U.S. and many of its churches send "Christian" ambassadors like the National Council of Churches (how many millions of dollars did American churches contribute to NCC in the past years?) so that those "reverends" can enable dictators to continue oppressing and killing Christians with no impunity.
Christians shop at stores for cheap consumer goods from China without even pausing to think that most of those goods are through forced labour of Christians. A new very revolting trend is to walk into a Christian bookstore or Christian giftstore and find almost everything made in China.
