>>>4. WHAT IT ALL MEANS
The 28 judgments described in Revelation 6-16 have a specific purpose: to warn people that this is their last chance to turn to God before the end. Many will finally do so.

You are right, of course, but most [polus] will not repent because they are tightening their seatbelt for the ride down the broad way to destruction, having believed the lies of the false prophets and Nicolaitan overlords.  So many refuse to hear and have been given over to believe a lie.  So many say they are Christians but are really Secular Humanists rejecting every sign the Lord has sent and tearing out every piece of truth from their Bibles that they choose not to agree with.  They have departed the faith in Unbelief and think they are under Grace...but doeth ought presumptuously, a sin unto death. (Num 15:30)

Good article at the top...a real pearl.

People get so testy with this subject! Prophecy is definitely unfolding.

I read the link above provided by The Bard. Some of these answers came to mind as I read it:

Link says: It has been said that the United States is Babylon of Revelation 18. Recognizing that Babylon is a city, not a country, it is further qualified that the U.S. is represented by its financial center, New York City. We now see that in order to really link the description given to us in Chapter 18, we must further narrow Babylon down to a few specific office buildings, while overlooking the fact that trading has resumed, albeit without the full services of a few significant investment firms. But all of their data was backed up thanks to Y2K fear upgrades

Fears Grow for Global Economy

Link says: Verse 23 states that by the sorceries of this Babylon "were all nations deceived." In what way were all nations deceived?

Might be our greatest exports: entertainment, abortion, child pornography. We export entertainment most of which contains blasphemy, spiritual whoredom, fornication, bestiality, etc. Abortion: Planned Parenthood preys on poor countries and Planned Parenthood says they don't perform abortions, they just counsel women (wink, wink) and Christians continue shopping at stores that help fund Planned Parenthood. Trauma Ward in Vietnam

Link says: Verse 24: "And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth." Does this describe New York or the U.S.A.? No, it does not.

The U.S. and many of its churches send "Christian" ambassadors like the National Council of Churches (how many millions of dollars did American churches contribute to NCC in the past years?) so that those "reverends" can enable dictators to continue oppressing and killing Christians with no impunity.

Christians shop at stores for cheap consumer goods from China without even pausing to think that most of those goods are through forced labour of Christians. A new very revolting trend is to walk into a Christian bookstore or Christian giftstore and find almost everything made in China.

The faces of persecution

I heard the bells on Christmas Day

And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that his justice cannot sleep forever; that considering numbers, nature and natural means only, a revolution of the wheel of fortune, an exchange of situation is among possible events; that it may become probably by supernatural interference! The Almighty has no attribute which can take side with us in such a contest. But it is impossible to be temperate and to pursue this subject through the various considerations of policy, of morals, of history natural and civil. We must be contented to hope they will force their way into everyone's mind. I think a change already perceptible since the origin of the present revolution. Thomas Jefferson
