The New York American Red Cross is in dire need of technology equipment and services. The field workers and sites have little, if any, means of communication and the central office is processing way too much on completely paper systems. GM has donated ten million dollars to the families of firefighters and EMT families and AT&T is handing out cell phones and Verizon offering free services, multiple large companies like Cisco offering 6 million and the list goes on.
Of course as individuals we want to do something but please stick with angencies and addresses you can trust and are sure your good deeds will get where they are supposed to go.
