JUDICIAL WATCH BLAMES PRESIDENT BUSH FOR TERRORIST ATTACKS --Promises Investigation (mine)

GOVERNMENT INCOMPETENCE, LACK OF HONESTY WITH AMERICAN PEOPLE LEAD TO TERRORIST DISASTERS OF SEPTEMBER 11, 2001

(Washington, DC, September 12, 2001) Larry Klayman, Chairman and General Counsel of Judicial Watch, the public interest law firm that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, today issued the following statement concerning the horrific terrorist attack on the United States, on a day – September 11, 2001 – that, even more than Pearl Harbor, will live in infamy.

“It is now apparent – given the near total lack of security at U.S. airports and elsewhere – that the U.S. government has not been forthright with the American people. During the last eight years of scandal during the Clinton administration, and the first eight months of the Bush Administration, reports this morning confirm that little to nothing was done to secure our nation’s airports and transportation systems as a whole – despite warnings.”

“Instead, cosmetic reform of education, social security, taxes, and other less important issues were given precedence. In addition, the American people were lead to believe that appropriate anti-terrorist counter measures were being taken. Instead of telling the truth so the problems could be addressed, politicians painted a rosy picture in order to be elected and re-elected.”

“Judicial Watch will use its investigative powers to look into the obvious breach of the people’s trust by a government which should not only have been candid, but also have taken steps to defend them.”

“Judicial Watch offers it condolences and sympathy to the dead and wounded, and their families, and prays that the nation will overcome this tragedy,” Klayman added.

LOL, don't you know in a situation like this the people that protect the President of The United States make the decisions relating to where the President goes ?

He has very little say in it.

If you were protecting him we would be in big trouble. He wasn't hiding, he was following orders from those who protect him.

"Nobody agrees with Larry Klayman except people who work for him."

I regret to say that you have overstated your position. Few if any people who work for Larry Klayman agree with him. Or respect him. Or like him. Or trust him. Or admire him.

I take blind loyalty to Larry Klayman as a sure sign that the person has never spent much time with him.

Here's what I posted on another thread about armed passengers in planes:

"The only way that I will ever again be comfortable flying is if the airlines announce that there will be trained, armed individuals on every flight. And I'm not talking about sky marshalls.

I want a program in which passengers who fly frequently and are competent with a firearm can undergo training, background checks, etc. (maybe even a short course from the FBI about how and when to act). In exchange for being able to bring a weapon aboard (with only the pilot aware of where each member of his defense team was seated), these persons would accept the obligation to act in an emergency. And it need not be just men. That gray haired lady with the knitting bag? She could be carrying!

This would stop airplane highjackers in their tracks. Four fanatics with knives and box cutters are no match for one adult with a gun, especially when aided by unarmed but outraged passengers who see that their fate is not sealed if they fight."

My proposal wouldn't cost the airlines or the passengers a thing, other than the initial start-up costs, which would be minimal.

Your treasonous remarks about a sitting president of the United States are a good revelation about the man you support, Pat. He must be so proud.

I haven't read this whole thread, but Klayman's STILL running a radio ad out here on the west coast, warning us of the possibility of mobs taking to the streets due to the energy crisis......this summer. As in uhhhh...you know, a month or so ago? I'm EMBARASSED that I actually gave $$ to that idiot some time ago.

Gee, Larry why don't you just go ahead and blame the planes for this.

Planes kill people, right Larry?

Americans are much tougher than the present WHIMPS in Washington are letting on. Lets get back to normal. Arm yourself and deal with the terrorist SOBs as they surface.
I do not think this Nation needs the UN's or NATO's permission to defend ourself. Do you?

Right ! And shrub, I mean Pres. Bush needs to start giving his advisors the 3rd degree about their advise !
Demanding that Arafat, before he can talk with him, must find and apprehend the suicide bombers ( I guess he means before they bomb- right ! )- while Israel is busy bombing-out his police stations and destroying the civil infrastructure, the things Araft would need to catch/stop the bombings- don't exactly place him as a mensa ( did I spell that right ) candidate !
Oh well, at least he's not firing ballistic missiles, warplanes, helicopter gunships or tanks at Israel- and we know Israel wouldn't do anything like that to the Palestinians.

It's not Bush's fault. He inherited a mess from the piece of trash called clinton.

My question to you, Larry Klayman, is what have YOU done to fix things? All i ever get is requests for money in the mail and NO RESULTS! You certainly have gaul calling the kettle black when you have NOTHING to show for all the years and money you have taken from people. I think you are just am attention hog that is out of control.
