The truth is that it's probably quite easy to hijack a plane. A sealed and secure cabin door and pilots who won't open it even if flight attendants are murdered should be a first step.

How about some security in the cabin of the plane as well? I have a personal stake in this. My daughter is an American Airlines Flight Attendant. These young men and women are the first line of defense against hijacking, and they are woefully underprepared for such a thing. The cockpit officers, also, feel very protective towards members of their crews--all of them. And like any other commander, they will do whatever it takes to try to keep them safe.
