And, because of our national firearm phobia, not one innocent person on those planes was allowed to keep and bear arms

Last summer was a movement to ban local police from carrying into airports.

Something that has been bothering me, and surely most people, is the deadly accuracy of the suicide pilots. How could they hit their targets perfectly on the first try? What are the odds of this happening three times in a row? How could they eye-ball a large jet aircraft right into a perfect strike of each of the twin towers twice and then do the same thing to the Pentagon?

I do not think they could by themselves or by eye-balling it. Here is my theory...One of two things occurred.

<snip>

This isn't as difficult as the experts would have you believe. If any of your theories were true, the flight paths would have been much more direct and made fewer turns, changes of altitude and speed.

If you look at the radar traces that were shown on some of the networks, you'll see that the terrorist "pilots" didn't maintain constant speed, or altitude. They also followed routes that followed major highways, indicating they were navigating visually by landmarks on the ground, not by instruments.

Hitting a building the size of the World Trade Center isn't as difficult as you think. I don't understand why the "experts" and the media are spreading this disinformation. Probably because they don't want to scare the public by telling everybody that someone could do this with minimal simulator time, possibly even using only a cheap PC based simulator.

Obviously, you have never flown an airplane.

If you had, you would never have made comments as stupid as those contained in that lengthy post.

Weather was CAVU, the twin towers can be seen for almost 75 miles and it does not take a genius to point the plane in the direction you want to go.

Power management would probably have been the most difficult part of the task facing an inexperienced pilot but who says that these were inexperienced pilots?

The sleepers of all nationalities are beginning to wake up to do their task of killing Americans. I expect more "fronts".

Minimalism is an effective means of inciting terror in those willing to be terrorized. Be aware and prepared for low tech. If "something" does not look right, speak up, folks.

We are at peril, but most not afraid. Passive victims are surely most at risk.

We are in for a war of annihililation. They are killing us by the thousands, so we kill them first, by the thousands and thousands. Jihadeology is a pathological faith in murder. Kill it.

Great idea! If they put it into effect, I might even start flying again.

The only time in the past 10 years that I have gotten on an airplane is when I am going overseas. The hassle at the airports with all my computer, projectors, and weapons is not worth it. Besides, if the trip is under 400 miles, most of the time the door to door travel time is better driving.

And you have a lot more room in the vehicle than cramped into those economy seats when you are over 6 foot 5 inches and 260 lbs.

I think it is more than our support for Israel. For years Saddam Hussein and the Ayatollah in Iran have stoked the fires of Islamic hatred towards USA. Also, The USA makes a convenient "boogeyman" for leaders of these countries because we advocate freedom (of thought, religion, etc.) so they consider us to be infadels.

If the airlines really cared about the safety of their passengers, they would allow them to chose from a selection of firearms loaded with "glasser safety slugs" and provide a shooting range at the airport, for practice.

Or, how about just obeying the law for a change, and letting "the people" keep and bear arms, like it says in the second amendment to the constitution.

A reporter on FNC is speculating that the Pentagon plane's original target was the White House, but they couldn't find it, so then went for a bigger, easier target, the Pentagon.

So, why the Jihad?

Go back 1400 years. They were at one time world leaders, and now are trailing backwards, and hate us for our success and freedom.
