We supposedly evolved from neanderthal who evolved from apes, right? And neanderthal vanished due to losing the survival of the fittest game, right? Then why are apes still alive and well today? Shouldn't they have vanished when neanderthal appeared?
Basically for the same reason why there's still an England.
