If Trump had done nothing, and in 6 months we wake up to read about a nuclear test in Iran, what would the MSM say? What would the Democrats in Congress say? What would our “do nothing” allies in Europe say?
Literally, everyone (Democrat or Republican) complaining now about the bombing campaign, would be the same person complaining if Iran did get their hands on a nuke.

The pause before the elections is to minimize the impact of this war on the elections and to keep this topic out of them, but no matter what the outcome is, there are arguments for and against.
There is a good chance, that maybe the Democrats might even go along with Iran since this is Iran we’re talking about (fairly extreme case). The Democrats are no longer a minority and opposition party.
