A little-known congressional maneuver could block members of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) from being sworn in as members of the House of Representatives next year, even if they win their elections on Tuesday. Members-elect must swear an oath to uphold the Constitution before they can become full members of the House. At the beginning of a new Congress, that oath is typically taken en masse by all 435 members, led by the House speaker. But an argument circulating in conservative circles posits that any member-elect can challenge another member-elect's right to be sworn in, provided they have compiled evidence that that person would not uphold their oath. That would then lead to House-wide deliberations followed by a vote on whether that member-elect has a right to be sworn in.

The constitution contains instructions on how it can be amended. There is nothing remotely unconstitutional about proposing to change some (or all) of the constitution.

R & D have been violating their oath and pushing unconstitutional bills thru Congress for years. The precedent has been set. It will be difficult to change it now.
There’s no there there. Has zero to do with Republicans and everything to do with Muslims and Socialists who have no problem with lying even to the point of swearing false oaths. Point your ire in the right direction.
To which the supreme court will say that the Constitution grants the House and senate wide latitude as to how they might adjudge a member elect as suitable to be seated. However since it will be an incoming Democrat majority congress that would be the stated examining body, I doubt any Democrat will be found unsuitable but they might try to look at incoming Republicans as unsuitable if any of that party attempts such a maneuver on a Democrat.

The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) updated its “Workers Deserve More” platform to propose a radical overhaul of the U.S. government that includes replacing the current U.S. Constitution with a new democratic socialist constitution.
If by “support and defend, but possibly amend” you mean, tossing the baby out with the bath water.
