Polish elections 2027 Poll: [leftISH} KO without coalition partners, {rightISH} PiS loses to the Confederates {two right wing coalitions}.
Rzeczpospolita ^ | 27th October 2026 | Artur Bartkiewicz

Posted on 11/02/2026 4:01:37 AM PST by Cronos

The poll shows that if the election were held next weekend, KO would have the support of 29.7 percent of respondents (a decrease of 0.9 percentage points compared to the poll from the beginning of October).

The second in the election would be PiS, for which 17.2 percent of respondents want to vote (a decrease of 0.8 percentage points). The last place on the podium is occupied by the Confederacy, for which 13.2 percent of the respondents want to vote (a decrease of 0.9 percentage points).

Entering the Sejm with a 10% support (an increase by a percentage point) of the Confederation of the Polish Crown of Grzegorz Braun. The sum of the support of the two Confederacies, which in the 2023 election competed from a single list, is 6 percentage points higher than support for PiS.

The New Left would get 7.3% (a decrease of 0.1 %) and the Development Plus association of Mateusz Morawiecki {rightISH}, for which 6.2 percent of respondents want to vote (an increase of 0.5 percentage points).

Below the electoral threshold were the PSL (4.4 percent), Total (3.2 percent) and Poland 2050 (0.4 percent). 8.4 percent of respondents (an increase of 2 percentage points) do not know who they would vote for.

Such an arrangement of forces in parliament means that the four right-wing parties – PiS, Confederation, Confederation of Polish Crown and Development Plus have a total of 243 seats and could build a majority. For such a coalition to have a majority, it would have to be formed by all four right-wing parties - without any of them, such a coalition would not have reached at least 231 seats.

The KO and the Left have a total of 217 seats.

the rightISH parties together have 17.2 + 13,2 + 10 + 6,2 = 46.4%

the left parties are KO with 29,7%, the new Left with 7,3% = 37%

the cut-off for a party to enter parliament is to have 5% so the others don't get in. Net-net this means that the right would get 56% of the seats and the left 44%

note that this was BEFORE Tusk's shenanigans -- imho I don't see Tusk's hard-core PO folks leaving him, so he will retain the 29% while the left also has hard-core.

I don't expect things to change much - but I think Morawiecki and Braun are unneccesarily fracturing the right

For those who might intrepret KO as meaning Knock Out, here is what KO means in there articles:

KO, or the Civic Coalition (Koalicja Obywatelska), is the pro-European, centre-right political alliance and the dominant force in Poland’s current governing coalition. Led by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, KO serves as the primary anchor of the ruling bloc, which also includes the Polish People’s Party (PSL), Poland 2050, The Left, and the Centrum club, collectively known as the 15 October Coalition.

KO holds the largest share of seats in the Sejm (156 out of 460) and has been in power since December 2023, following its victory in the 2023 parliamentary elections. Its core platform emphasizes restoring the rule of law, securing EU recovery funds, maintaining strong NATO and EU integration, and implementing liberal social policies, including the liberalization of abortion laws.

My impression is that Braun's primary interest is in Braun: he's always cooking up some antic to keep himself in the limelight even if it repulses possible conservative voters.

The interesting thing is that Mazowiecki broke up PiS to form his own party, but I don't see anything like that happening in KO, although I suspect Sikorski could probably do so it he chose.

I also have to note how carefully prepared the coup on the court was: the court case with ludicrous, unverifiable accusations against Nawrocki was revived in public just a few days before the coup attempt to smear Nawrocki. Then they waited until he left the country and tried to prevent him from returning to Warsaw.

Tusk looks like a lying crapweasal for claiming he is "restoring the rule of law" by seizing control of the court and stuffing it with judges who have not been sworn in.

You can be sure that if Tusk’s coup against the court holds, Poland will experience the “joy” of gay marriage, abortion on demand, and the arrest of conservative opposition on “hate speech” charges or even bans on certain parties a la Western Europe.

Polish politics often cycles between eras of heroism and national unity, and eras of fracture and political division.

Yes, Tusk’s conservatism has been an issue from my standpoint, for quite sometime now. Thus, I concur with your assessment. 😁🤙

PO - I think that they’re waiting for Tusk to leave. When he last left in 2014, PO basically collapsed. PO is basically Tusk while PiS is basically Kaczynski - which is why morawiecki left. I think that KO willhave infighting between Trzaskowski who had an overinflated idea of himself and maybe Sikorski

Morawiecki has 6% which surprises me as he is so lacklustre.

“Tusk looks like a lying crapweasal for” — he’s done this before. But the hard-core PO supporters will not see anything bad by him, while they view PiS as evil. To be fair there are PiSowcy who are the exact opposite as well - both blind followers.

PiS is like the GOPe, better than the alternative, but a lot of flaws.

If you think Tusk is “Conservative”, look who he appointed as his Education Minister:

Barbara Nowacka:

In October 2015 she became leader of the United Left coalition for the 2015 Polish parliamentary election, bringing together Labour Union, Your Movement, the Democratic Left Alliance, the Greens, and the Polish Socialist Party.

Barbara Nowacka declares herself as atheist. She is a supporter of the right to abortion, as well as the state financing in vitro fertilization for single women. She also focuses on LGBT rights and is in favor of granting same-sex couples the right to adopt children. She sees the causes[clarification needed] of racist attitudes and xenophobic prejudices in social inequalities.

No, I do not think Tusk is conservative, but the press always label him as being conservbative.

My statement; Yes, Tusk’s conservatism has been an issue from my standpoint, for quite sometime now. Thus, I concur with your assessment. 😁🤙, wasn't understood by you? 😁🤙

I guess my statement was too subtle. 🤣👍

I also made the same observation about Magyar in Hungary, he also appointed a very liberal Education Minister.

They know they can’t change the minds of the old folks, but they are making sure the children will be properly indoctrinated.

Yes, the children are the key to underminding a nation, for it robs that nation of its future, by turning them agaist their parents to the point that they believe nothing that theiur parents impart to them.

Do you remember Yuri Bezmenov, the former KGB abent that emgrated to Canada, and proceeded to warn the U.S.about the Russian operation to demoralized & undrmine our children?

If not, here is the video that aired in 1984, but was pretty much ignored:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1EA2ohrt5Q&t=9s Socialist Subversion

I was hopeful of Magyar, but only bevause he had defeated Orban. I was for Orban all along for we knew exactly where he stood, while Magyar was a totally unkonwn player as a leader. All the hype that Magyar was even tougher than Orban was hype, and my fear that I was correct that those claims were lies, has proven that my fears were justified.
