Rzeczpospolita ^ | 2nd November 2026

Tusk referred to the dispute over the Constitutional Court in a social media post. "The resolution of the conflict is simple and possible without changes to the constitution," he wrote on X.

Donald Tusk presented his vision of solving the case. “The President recognizes judges legally elected by the Sejm, because this is the Constitution, and they undertake their duties in the Court” – he pointed out. Karol Nawrocki, who has chosen a violent confrontation, which can cost Poland a lot, said: “So far.”

“The democratic rule of law cannot give way to violence, regardless of how powerful external forces will support the attack of the Law and Justice Party, the Confederacy, Braun and Nawrocki. And it will not budge," the prime minister declared in the entry. Escalation of the dispute over the Constitutional Court. Statement by Anna Korwin-Piotrowska, police before the Constitutional Tribunal

The conflict over the Constitutional Court intensified on Friday. That day, the police entered the TK. Judge Anna Korwin-Piotrowska, citing her longest internship, ordered an immediate break for 30 days in the performance of her official duties by the President of the Constitutional Tribunal Bogdan Święczkowski and his deputy Bartłomiej Sochański and declared that she had become the person directing the work of the Constitutional Tribunal.

Bogdan Święczkowski did not recognize this decision, unsuccessfully trying to get to the headquarters of the Constitutional Tribunal. The President of the Constitutional Tribunal does not recognize Korwin-Piotrowska as a judge of the Tribunal, because she was not sworn in by President Karol Nawrocki, and took the oath before the Marshal of the Sejm.

On Friday, a protest began before the Court, which continues until now. The opposition spoke of a coup, also making accusations against the government of Donald Tusk. Chief of police Marek Boroń declared that the officers acted in accordance with the law. Due to the situation in the Constitutional Tribunal, President Karol Nawrocki resigned from the trip to Senegal, and on the night of Friday to Saturday he entered the territory of the Constitutional Tribunal, with scuffles.

The president said there had been a violation of the constitutional order and announced urgent consultations involving parliamentary forces - not all factions accepted the invitation to the talks. In turn, Prime Minister Donald Tusk delivered a message in which he argued that the rule of law is being restored.

As the legal basis for the decision of Anna Korwin-Piotrowska ws. Bogdan Święczkowski and Bartłomiej Sochański were indicated art. 130 The law on the system of common courts proclaiming that: “if the judge has been detained due to the capture in the act of committing a deliberate offence, or if, due to the type of act carried out by the judge, the seriousness of the court or the essential interests of the service require the immediate removal from the performance of official duties, the president of the court or the minister of justice may order an immediate interruption in the judicial activities of the judge until the resolution is issued by the court.”

Minister of Justice Waldemar Żurek informed that he handed over the TK applications for the waiver of immunity to Święczkowski and Sochański.

The General Assembly of Judges of the Constitutional Tribunal is scheduled for Tuesday, but it is not known whether there will be a quorum necessary for lawful decision-making. The Assembly is to m.in. adopt the budget of the Constitutional Court for 2027.

Tusk is basically saying the same as Putin "just give in to all my demands and there will be peace. Otherwise you are guilty of war"

Nawrocki's response should be similar to that given by Michael Corleone to a senator who was trying to 'squeeze' him. "My offer is this. Nothing.".

“Tusk is basically saying the same as Putin “just give in to all my demands and there will be peace. Otherwise you are guilty of war””

Most people here already know the EU is no better than Putin when it comes to respecting democracy, but thanks for the reminder.

Says the guy who sent squads are armed police to occupy the Court and try to forcefully remove the judges. Its the other side which chose confrontation. LOL!

I’m going to punch you in the face. If you resist or fight back, you’re starting a confrontation.

I am in charge because the guy in charge has to stand down because I have filed charges against him and those are the rules laid out by those who wrote playbook on color revolutions [deep state managerialist bureaucrats who only know how to screw up bureaucracies until they are left in charge - communist apparatchiks or American apparatchiks or EU apparatchiks].

"Last month, Elissa Slotkin brags about how she went to Poland and Hungary and "brought home the playbook to get out of 'authoritarian' governments." WTAF.

The Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland, Radoslaw Sikorski is celebrating the globalist coup. Here he is last month alongside Elissa Slotkin."

I'll this same thig to this discussion as well:

For those who might intrepret KO as meaning Knock Out, here is what KO means in there articles:

KO, or the Civic Coalition (Koalicja Obywatelska), is the pro-European, centre-right political alliance and the dominant force in Poland’s current governing coalition. Led by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, KO serves as the primary anchor of the ruling bloc, which also includes the Polish People’s Party (PSL), Poland 2050, The Left, and the Centrum club, collectively known as the 15 October Coalition.

KO holds the largest share of seats in the Sejm (156 out of 460) and has been in power since December 2023, following its victory in the 2023 parliamentary elections. Its core platform emphasizes restoring the rule of law, securing EU recovery funds, maintaining strong NATO and EU integration, and implementing liberal social policies, including the liberalization of abortion laws.

Does anyone on FR believe Poland needs to be protected from Russia rather than the EU?

Yes, I do.

Brussels is a threat to the soul

Tusk is looking to run to the E.U. for support in a domestic legal dispute about whether or not the President of Poland is obligated to give the oath of office for the Constitutional Court to anyone appointed by the legislature, or failing that, whether someone other than the Polish president can administer the oath in cases of allegations of judicial misconduct against the Constitutional Courts chief justice. It will be curious how the politics play out in Poland, as Tusk leads a coalition government and could face a vote of no confidence.

Both are equal threats. Actually I would say Russia is less of a threat, at present, than the EU.

If Russia has been unable to defeat Ukraine after over four and one half years, why would they be able to attack, must less defeat, Poland? I am no fan of Russia; they are part of an anti-Western alliance led by China. However, the EU is attempting to crush nationalist opposition in the countries that are resisting globalism, such as Poland, Hungary, and Serbia.

Both the BRICS and the EU/NATO want to subjugate the planet under a new world order. The main difference is who runs things: Brussels or Beijing?

If both are equal threats, the EU should be under thae same sanctions as Russia.
