Excellent! Another nice thread.
Homecoming. When we left Rota Spain to head back to CONUS, this is what it looked like that morning:

Funny. So much of that deployment seemed that way to me. Not so much gloomy and gray, but...just not sunny. There were sunny days. But I so wanted to go home and see all my friends.
Has there ever been such a wonderful event full of so much anticipation? I came into Pier 12 in Norfolk, and my mother and one of my best friends had driven down from New England to meet me.
Just an amazing feeling.
Homecoming.
And to those who served in a combat zone-it must be that feeling on steroids.

Howdy, luvie.
Things still wonderfully cool there? Still fabulous here, though the next two days are supposed to be pretty warm.

It was nice. Did get up to about 79, but still very nice. It’s ‘’supposed’’ to get cooler tomorrow and have chances for rain. We’ll see. The last chances sure didn’t pan out much.
Glad it was really nice there, too. I hope the warm bits are the warm before the cool comes. Hope y’all had some fun folks stop by the tent.
