The European anarchy has set the stage for a particularly disturbing scene in Milan, Italy, as one of Christianity's most recognizable landmarks became the backdrop for violent unrest.
Flames rose from makeshift barricades, fireworks exploded, and thick smoke filled the square outside Milan Cathedral, the magnificent Gothic church that has stood at the heart of the city for centuries.
Italy like France. Outside Milan Cathedral. A symbol of Christianity under siege. Fires, clashes, and devastation beneath its spires. This is no celebration — it is a collapse. They are burning the heart of Milan while everyone watches and records it. This is a war on our history, culture, traditions, and identity.— RadioGenoa (@RadioGenoa) October 17, 2026
Italy like France. Outside Milan Cathedral. A symbol of Christianity under siege. Fires, clashes, and devastation beneath its spires. This is no celebration — it is a collapse. They are burning the heart of Milan while everyone watches and records it. This is a war on our history, culture, traditions, and identity.
The violence erupted during a left-wing demonstration that drew more than 5,000 people to Milan. What began as a protest over high prices, low wages, and deteriorating public services descended into clashes between police and groups of masked rioters, some of them clearly North African immigrants.
According to Italian news reports, rioters hurled stones, firecrackers, and makeshift explosives at officers while setting fire to rubbish, street furniture, and barricades. Police responded with tear gas, water cannons, and charges.
BREAKING: Massive riots have now also broken out in Milan, Italy. An alliance of migrant gangs and Antifa extremists is attacking police officers and setting fires in front of the Milan Cathedral (Duomo) https://t.co/yh8sbPWmsS— Visegrád 24 (@visegrad24) October 17, 2026
Windows were smashed, shops closed their shutters, and tourists fled the city center as police fought to regain control of the square. ANSA reported that police officers were injured and approximately 20 people received medical attention in the area.
The cathedral itself was not reported damaged. But the spectacle unfolding beneath its spires was extraordinary. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni condemned the violence.
"Demonstrating is a right. Setting our cities on fire is not," Meloni said in a statement reported by ANSA.
The location makes the images particularly jarring. Milan Cathedral, known as the Duomo di Milano, is one of Europe's great Christian monuments. Construction began in 1386, and its elaborate marble facade and towering spires have become inseparable from the city's identity.
For generations, the cathedral has represented the religious, artistic, and architectural inheritance of Christian Europe. Now, footage circulating online shows flames and smoke rising in the very square that surrounds it.
The unrest also coincides with extraordinary scenes across neighboring France. As RedState's Nick Arama documented Saturday, rioters in Paris, Lyon, Marseille, and other French cities attacked police, looted businesses, and damaged historic public buildings.
In Lyon, masked rioters reportedly set fire to the city's historic tourism office. In Marseille, vandals attacked the town hall, defaced its walls, and knocked over a bust of Marianne, the symbolic figure of the French Republic.
In Paris, violent groups clashed with police near Place de la République as shops were ransacked and parts of the city's public monuments were damaged.

Galeries Lafayette in Paris is being looted tonight. It’s the French equivalent of Harrods in London or Bergdorf Goodman in NYC https://t.co/F5jZU4bswZ— Visegrád 24 (@visegrad24) October 17, 2026
The cultural dimension of these attacks cannot be ignored. This is the kind of cultural appropriation that is real. Christianity is under attack, the West is being ransacked, and our globalist leaders could not be more thrilled.
When violent crowds turn historic city centers into battlegrounds, the damage reaches beyond broken windows and burned vehicles. The public spaces surrounding Europe's churches, monuments, and civic buildings are part of the civilization those nations inherited. And when those places become scenes of destruction, the images carry a significance that extends well beyond the immediate political grievances.
The Duomo survived centuries of political upheaval, wars, and profound changes in European society. Saturday night's violence left the cathedral standing. But the flames burning beneath its spires offered a troubling picture of the turmoil now gripping parts of the continent.
Europe's historic churches and monuments are powerful landmarks of Western civilization.
After globalists imported millions of Muslim immigrants to Western societies, we have to ask ourselves: Was this cultural enrichment or a foreign invasion?

Good thing Italy doesn’t have a 2nd Amendment or the “student protesters” might be in danger.
Start burning cathedrals in Italy. Yup…that will consolidate their support among the common Italians. //sarc
I’m waiting for the stories about a “feared backlash by nativist whites against refugees” to start rolling out.
With any luck, they will turn out to be true this time.
The usual terrorists:
The A Anarchist movement, ANTIFA, Black Bloc...
And in France we see Free Palestine flags more and more in the riots...
The French Palestine movement is not only a thing American Universities have to tackle, the same problem exists in French universities these days.
Maybe Leo ought to worry about the rioting hordes in Italy instead of calling Putin for Zelensky.
Europe is falling apart.
There are no men left in Western Europe.
Please start shooting these Islamist rioters burning our Cathedrals. Seriously.
“we have to ask ourselves: Was this cultural enrichment or a foreign invasion?”
Stupid thing to write. I know Becker is being cute here, but there’s no need to ask.
Where’s the pope when you need him?

It’s muslims doing what saracens have always done: enslave Christians. Time to bomb that fake rock in Mecca. Muslims and saracens are dupes who need to wake up and learn how to read.

Pretty simple to see, the great EU experiment is going away. Breakup, each country must do what it has to to protect itself, its culture and its sovereignty.
Bye Bye, EU, your “ leaders” went a step too far. Breakup, The sooner the better.
You never want to pi$$ off Italians.
Where are the men?
water cannon with lard
is that islamophobic?
Europeans are simply not killing enough muslims. This is a war. They have a responsibility to achieve at least a respectable body count.
I was in Milan and stayed about a block away from this Piazza in August.
The men in Milan are all pretty boys
Meaning they are either model wantabees or they are your typical male metrosexuals.
They are more concerned about their Farogamo shoes and Armani clothes than anything else.
Lots of homos.
FYI there was no damage to the cathedral.
This is the largest Piazza in Milan.
It is in the center of the city.
There is always a big police presence there.
The Victor Emmanuel Galleria abuts this piazza too.
Inside you will find all of the big Italian designer stores.
It is the center of the Italian fashion industry.
So, that tends to attract a certain type of person.
Frankly when I was there in northern Italy in did not see that many Muslims. EXCEPT for the RICH tourist Middle Eastern Muslims.
The people rich enough to actually shop in some of those stores.
