Two church non-profits have taken in at least $62 M to build the Somali community in Minnesota — leading to the rise of Ilhan Omar and the fraud scandals that have gripped that state. Catholic Charities and Lutheran Social Services were at the forefront of reshaping MN thanks to generous government contracts stemming back generations.
“This is a very big pile of government money and a whole bunch of different groups have come to get their own slice of it,” Parker Thayer, an immigration expert at the Capital Research Center...total money pouring into MN resettlement programs is “in the hundreds of millions.” ...2021, US Conference of Catholic Bishops, has received $140 M in migrant resettlement contracts from the federal government.
Before Minnesota became Somali central, it was known as the Hmong hub. The state became a test ground for a Vietnam-era resettlement program — with advocacy from then-VP Mondale (D-MN) and Minnesota’s Dem governor Al Quie. Mondale traveled with Quie to Asia to visit refugee camps and came back describing the horrid conditions they saw.
That led them to become interested in resettling the Hmong people, a Southeast Asian ethnic group recruited by the CIA to fight a “Secret War” against communist forces in Laos. Mondale then headed the US delegation to the UN in 1979, where he secured international commitments to resettlement, framing the crisis in moral terms by comparing it to a failure to protect Jewish refugees before and during World War II. Within a couple years, the Twin Cities’ Hmong population was in the thousands.

I have no doubt that this is the case in other states too. In 20 years, I saw an absolute explosion in the number of muslims where I lived in NJ. By the time I finally got the hell out of there, there were literally more foreign-born people than there were actual Americans.
“Catholic Charities” are simply not a Christian group. Christians follow Jesus’ teachings. Catholic charities does not do that

The ones I’ve seen are fantastic gardeners. The smallest of plots turned into food factories.
US government via aid programs. Catholic Charities has devastated maine with their African resettlements.
I lived in Arizona and Texas most of my life. It sucked coming home from the Army and finding that the west I grew up in looks like a Hollyweird set of Ali Baba and his 40 million thieves. I never thought that after having the commies as my enemy that the Muzziezzzz would invade America by stampeding all the scum on the planet into America.
The big difference is the Hmong have assimilated. While they have preserved their heritage traditions, they live in our communities operate successful businesses, adopted the English language and have not put themselves into ghettos. The Hmong have become American just like our immigrant ancestors.
The Somalis have no intention of assimilating. Even after living in Minnesota for years many do not speak English and cling to their Muslim culture. They deliberately ostracize themselves in enclaves which more resemble Mogadishu than Minneapolis. Their leaders enforce a strict dress code not allowing their women to dress in western clothing, but Somali males dress in blue jeans and western clothing. Large portions of the Somali population still receive government assistance even after living here for a decade.
