Watters: Ilhan Omar’s dad wasn’t some low-level soldier…
**Jesse:** Fox News alert. World War XI is off to a hot start. It's not being waged on one front anymore; it's two.
The feds showed up at Ilhan Omar's door with a warrant. Tuesday, the feds moved in on her family, and tonight Fox can report that investigators seized Omar's phone as part of their immigration investigation. _The Wall Street Journal_ says they took her computers and passport, too.
The Justice Department is building a case that would strip her of her citizenship and ultimately deport her.
We are also learning more about the scale of the searches. At least a dozen subpoenas served to Ilhan Omar's inner circle. The Times originally said her sister was served, but a source says investigators haven't been able to find her. I sure hope she did not flee the country. That would not look good, especially since the case hinges on her whole family.
We have confirmed investigators are scrutinizing whether Mr. Mohammed, her dad, lied about his military background when he applied for legal status here. That's key because Omar says her citizenship derived from him. She is a naturalized nepo baby. The legal term is derivative citizenship.
Could only works if two things are true. One, Daddy was naturalized. And two, when she was a minor. Both of those things are now in dispute.
Omar's staff caught changing her birth year, which means if she was 18 instead of 17, she was too old to get citizenship through her father. And was her father even legit?
The Department of Homeland Security under Biden, in 2023, did a search and found no record of him ever being naturalized. His paperwork doesn't exist. And why would that be? Because Omar's father probably did not qualify to come here as a refugee. Mr. Mohammed was a colonel in the Somali military dictatorship. The self-victorious leader of a powerful Somali clan ruled the African nation more as a warlord. His portrait hung next to Marx and Lenin. Did not just salute them, was saying to them.
Omar's father served under him in an army that carried out a genocide. As many as 200,000 people were slaughtered.
The colonel isn't just some low-level soldier. The colonels command brigades and regiments, thousands of soldiers. Heeded both. In an army that planted land mines, poisoned wells, and dug mass graves.
A Somali general famously ordered his troops to kill all but the crows. Those generals, puppets of Moscow. The Soviet Union armed and trained Somali officers, including Omar's father. Reportedly trained in the Soviet Union. We don't know if he specifically committed any war crimes, but he served for over a decade in an army that did.
Omar's father stayed loyal to this bloody regime until it fell. A former officer says he even ran a military academy. Then, in 1995, a few years after his regime collapsed, he arrived in America as a refugee.
If this is all true, the question isn't just about her; it's how a colonel from an army that committed genocide walks into the United States as a refugee. If he did, he can't be the only one, can he?
Well, he's not. _Prime Time_ kept digging. The vice president of the same Somali regime fled here and retired in Virginia. Another commander from the army got a job guarding Dulles Airport. Then he drove Uber.
In 2019, a jury found him liable for torture. Uber banned him. Biden deported him a month before Trump took office, which is very interesting timing, especially because Biden deported, like, no one.
Is anybody concerned? Not the left. They say, "Relax, everyone lies to customs."
(**[Clip]** "I think the larger issue is we all know that if you scrutinized every refugee case, everybody who came here as a refugee and then became naturalized, Carney went through that with a fine-tooth comb, you would find a lot of cases, perhaps, where people fudged facts, where things weren't all as they were represented. Are they doing it in a fair way or a vindictive way? That's, I think, what's really at the heart of this case.")
**Jesse:** Democrats don't care who they let in. They care who's looking.
In fact, they make it clear: if they get the majority, they are going to investigate the investigators investigating Omar.
"We will be demanding transparency and accountability as to who authorized this abusive search and who carried it out. President Trump will keep trying to intimidate and bully Americans ahead of the midterms."
Bully? A judge signed the warrant. CNN just confirmed it was a Democrat and a Hillary donor.
And that's just the immigration case. The money is a separate investigation. Judge Jeanine Pirro confirmed her office is investigating Omar's financial disclosures.
Is she worth $30 million or $100 grand? Why the discrepancy?
The last time somebody looked at her books, regulators found she abused campaign funds. She even used donor money to acquire her own personal immigration records, which is strange because she told reporters her birth certificate was destroyed in Africa.
Regulators also found something even more shady. She was funneling campaign money to her husband. She paid his firm almost $3 million. Do they share a bank account? Probably. Seems sleazy.
Then there's the fraud in her state. Nine billion bucks. Gone. Right under her nose.
A bunch of her donors and former staff, they're tied into it. All in the great state of Minnesota, where you used to leave your door unlocked. Great schools, lake houses. Now Minneapolis is Mogadishu.
One hundred thousand Somalis live in the state, and they've got power. Now Somalis hold seats on the city council, in the legislature, and in local party leadership.
So nobody in the Minnesota Democratic Party wanted to be the ones asking questions. And for years, nobody did, until the feds started sniffing around.
And the people defending her are the people you would expect. A rally for Ilhan just two days ago, in solidarity with Omar, kicked off like this.

**Jesse:** Everybody is worked up about this. Everybody except Omar's husband.
**Reporter:** Can you tell us if you have a reaction to the raid and investigations going on?
**Husband:** My wife came here when she was 12 years old.
**Jesse:** I know women lie about their age, but sometimes it's illegal. And it's always illegal for a colonel from a dictator's genocidal army to walk in as a refugee.
And he's not the only one. They settled, they had kids, and now we are living with them.
Remember the homecoming shooting we told you about? Five men are now charged. And we have their great American names: Ibrahim, Mohammed. The gunman, free on bail.
Starting to feel like these people don't really love this country. They don't respect it. They don't really fit in.
In fact, Omar has been trashing this place since the second she got off the plane. Literally.
(**[Clip]** "I remember my father and I, and my siblings, driving through Manhattan after we landed and realizing that there were homeless people and panhandlers on the side of the streets, and turning to my father and saying to him, 'This doesn't look like the America you promised. "And his words precisely were to me, 'You know, you have to have patience. We are eventually going to get to our America.'")
**Jesse:** After being in a Somali civil war, fleeing to a Kenyan refugee camp, she lands in New York City and says this place ain't all that.
How many other Omars are there? How many other Omar daddies are there?
Democrats don't want to know. Democrats hate this case because three weeks from November, they have to circle their wagons around fraud, crime, corruption, and illegal immigration...
