Two illegal immigrants from the Dominican Republic charged in the stabbing and robbery of an off-duty NYPD officer whom they attacked while he was cleaning out his trunk have been returned to the Big Apple after Massachusetts State Police arrested them in a basement hideout.
"I told them in English, I told them in Spanish that I was a police officer," Detective Jose Mercedes, 33, told reporters at a news briefing earlier Tuesday. "They didn't care."
Speaking in Spanish, D'Angelo Caraballo, 25, told news cameras he wasn't being fed and asked photographers to tell his mom he's OK. He appeared to have gotten a haircut in the wake of the attack.

I used the search feature here and didn’t find anything pertaining to this story. I can’t believe I am the first to post about this over a week old story. Even tried Google “advanced search” feature with FreeRepublic.com as a domain and no hits using, Illegal migrqant, NYC cop stabbed, manhunt for 2 Dominican Republic illegals caught in Mass.

I represented a client who “allegedly” committed an armed robbery at a convenience store. He repeatedly denied going to the store and committing the crime. A police officer friend of mine pulled be aside to watch a surveillance video of the crime. After seeing the video I called my client over to where the video monitor was- he couldn’t see the screen. I asked my client some questions while I watched, stopped and started the video: “You said you didn’t go to the store, correct?” You would agree with me that you are a black male, correct?” “You would also agree that you are 5’9” and are thin, correct?” “Do you also agree that, in the past you have worn ( I describe the hat, shirt, pants etc) in the past? In fact, that’s what you are wearing that today, correct?” “ Well, let’s take a look at the video which showed a thin black male, in the exact same clothes that my client wore to court. As a cherry on top, my client literally looked right at the surveillance camera during the robbery. [this incident happened years ago]
If someone gets out of the USA by entering the Communist Commonwealth of Massachusetts can they be extradited to the USA?

EDIT: Especially in NYC after a NY police officer just got stabbed 10 times.
