Man killed in tiger attack identified as William Chapman
BBC ^ | 10 13 2026 | Steve Jones

The man who was killed by a tiger after entering its enclosure at a wildlife park has been identified as William Chapman, the BBC understands.

Chapman entered the enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park near Doncaster shortly after 13:30 BST on Saturday and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to South Yorkshire Police.

An eyewitness described seeing him wearing headphones and "pacing around" near the enclosure before he went in and was attacked. Police confirmed he was visiting the park on his own.

A force spokesperson said his family was aware and was being supported by specialist officers. The park was evacuated after the incident and remains closed as investigations continue.

City of Doncaster Council has also launched a health and safety investigation into the death, which a spokesperson said was "in line with our statutory duties".

The headline should read.

“Man killed in tiger attack identified as William Chapman (England)”

The tiger will not be euthanized. It’s not his fault this guy was a complete fool. He did what a tiger does.

Its obvious this man Chapman was mentally ill. Yet this gruesome story is just another example of vapid reporting by the MSM. It would be instructive and informative if the reader was told something about this guy. Was he known to be mentally ill? Was he a drug user ( both illicit or prscribed medications)? Was he a homosexual, have a criminal background e, pathological animal lover, furry, leftist etc.etc.etc. Or was he just reflective of what has come to be the norm in Britain?

In 1995, a woman climbed into the lion enclosure at the National Zoo and removed herself from the pool.

Unsure if he qualifies for a Darwin Award, but he deserves a place in the FAFO Hall of Fame for sure.

I’m surprised that he died. The footage shows him sternly admonishing the tiger not to kill him

Almost as funny as when some DBag mugged a couple at knifepoint. Then, he fled into the zoo.
His half-eaten corpse was found the next day inside the tiger enclosure. Apparently, he thought that in escaping pursuit for mugging is was a great idea to scale a fence in a zoo. Kinda like when fleeing foot pursuit from coppers it is a great idea to run down a highway — “Coppers aren’t stupid enough to chase me here!!”

Human IQ went up a bit.
