Multiple people are dead after a shooting in Pennsylvania that occurred Friday night, according to local news reports.
“I have not seen anything like this in my 28-plus years,” Erie Police Chief Rick Lorah said. “I’m not sure that the city of Erie has ever seen the loss of life and the devastation that we just witnessed.”
The suspected gunman died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Witnesses told police they saw someone firing a weapon before authorities arrived.
Police described the scene as horrific and said they currently do not know what led to the deaths.
At one time the russian mob had a pretty strong presence in Erie, but they tended to lay pretty low. This wouldn’t be their style.
Maybe it started as a domestic dispute. Nowadays some people really don’t need much of a reason to start killing. An entire generation has been taught that life has no meaning or value.
“The City of Erie said Saturday that all nine deaths occurred before officers arrived at the scene, clarifying earlier reports surrounding the timeline of the incident.
Police responded within minutes after receiving a ShotSpotter alert. Officers initially had limited information about what had happened, including whether the suspected shooter remained inside the home or continued to pose a threat.
Two women were found dead outside the residence. Investigators later discovered additional victims inside the home, including children.
Erie police and the department’s SWAT team surrounded the residence as officers worked to determine what had happened and sought a search warrant.
The city said no additional gunshots were fired after police arrived. Sounds heard during the tactical response that may have been mistaken for gunfire were actually flash bangs used by law enforcement.
Erie Police Chief Rick Lorah described the scene Friday night as one of the most difficult and heartbreaking his officers and investigators have encountered.
“The loss of life is devastating, and the circumstances we are working through are deeply disturbing,” Lorah said.
Mayor Daria Devlin also called the incident a “terrible tragedy.”
“Our thoughts are with the victims, their loved ones, and everyone impacted by tonight’s tragedy,” Devlin said Friday night.
Police have not yet released the identities of those killed or discussed a possible motive.”
Going out self-inflicted is not the gang-banger way. Way too little self-reflection in that culture.

How can your thoughts “be with” people you know nothing about? The leftists have succeeded in dumbing down the news so much that they really don’t tell us anything at all. News should be informative so that we can go about with awareness of what to watch out for. Journalism is intended for us to go about in fear of “people” including people we don’t need to be afraid of. It is all in the line of breaking down our culture to make it easier to control us.

I do not mean to sound cold, but I fully expect the details to be interesting once they leak out. Especially if it cannot be blamed on a white male. Of course we don’t know anything about the ethnicity of the perpetrators or victims at this point.

I have gradually come to believe that our liberal justice system has contributed significantly to the devaluation of life. How? . . . by the elimination of the death penalty. If murderers can serve only a limited number of years before parole, pardon, or so-called “good behavior,” the system is basically telling the victim’s family and the whole world that killing another person is no big deal.
In a sane world every year there would be roughly the same number of executions as there are murders.
