Trump announces Europe will release ‘massive amount’ of diesel oil as prices come down from peak

Europe will release a “massive amount” of diesel fuel, President Trump announced Friday after pressuring allies to open their emergency reserves.

“Europe has just agreed to release a massive amount of their heavily stocked Diesel,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “The process will begin immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

No details were immediately available about how many barrels of oil Europe will release and when they will hit the market. Trump’s statement followed an emergency G7 meeting, chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron, on the global energy situation.

The Elysee Palace confirmed that Trump and Macron spoke Thursday night “on the need to work together to address rising fuel prices and ensure the global availability of refined petroleum products.”

The announcement comes as gas prices continue to drop from their early September highs. The national average price of a gallon of regular fuel stood at $4.40 as of Friday morning, down more than nine cents from last week, according to AAA.

Diesel prices were $6.37 per gallon, down 15 cents from the record high set Sept. 22.

Voters have named the high cost of living, including gas prices, as their top concern ahead of the Nov. 3 election.

In addition to the European fuel release, Reuters reported Friday that Trump may sign an executive order as early as next week aimed at reducing diesel prices. It was not immediately clear whether the announcement would be an export man, which many analysts have speulated about in recent weeks.

The one thing I will say for Trump is that he is always working on a project or policy to get the economy going. Biden would never be focused on something like this. He’d almost view it as beneath him. So would a lot of Republican officeholders who did not have a business background. Trump knows what needs to be done to keep the economy humming and works on it day in and day out. And he scores big wins. Even if we get a Vance, Rubio or DeSantis in office after Trump, they aren’t going to focus on these types of projects like Trump did because they don’t have decades of truly unique business knowledge that Trump has.

Well, in his defense, Biden was a vegetable, who was installed by the intel/democrat deep state. He probably didn't even choose what socks he wore in the morning

But you do make valid point - Biden, Obama (especially) but also going back to Clinton/Bush - all were highly dependent on bureaucrats and advisors. Again, until Trump, America's Praetorian Guard of intel and government apparatchiks made most decisions. Presidents simply followed.

Trump LEADS. In this case in particular, he doesn't wait for the State Dept to craft a public statement, then arrange a meeting in Brussels with some ambassadors, wait for a muddled response, etc...

He demands people act.

If Trump can get the inflated price of diesel down, he might help lessen the damage to Repubs as they battle for the midterms.

He certainly will help out all consumers as diesel truckers move the products we buy.

Translation- the TDS EU political leaders have been withholding diesel fuel supplies from the market to drive prices up in the run up to the 2026 to help Democrats win control of Congress to end the Trump agenda

We are on the same page......most have no idea....especially the EU war cheerleaders. This is good news for the poor EU citizens, evidence also points to their withholding Diesel for their War with Russia.....no Diesel, no war.

The EU leaders are not our friends. They are more a threat to us than Russia ever was.

I have trouble believing gas prices is the biggest problem. The Muzzies are still the biggest problem...

The EU always works against the best interests of the United States.

So why would they do what Trump wants, and release their diesel reserves now? Take yer pick:

A. They (the EU) are lying.
B. Trump has promised them something.
C. The release is meant to calm down their native populations. Any help to Trump and America would just be incidental.

That’s it. Trump reminded them that no matter how the midterms go, he’ll still be president for two years.

I guess they are going to draw down their “90 day emergency reserve”, according to AI.

Did Trump thank the EU for releasing their diesel stocks?

Of course not.

Hate to sound so cynical, but I will be astonished if one drop of diesel is released before the midterms.

Agreed, just can’t believe the EU will really do that—since diesel averages over $9 per gallon there.
