This should have been done the day the Biden Admin took over the student loan program!!!!!!!!! Better yet, it should have been left in the private sector and BANKS would have done this years ago on their own!!!!
It’s not much a “loan” if there is little chance of it ever being paid back.

I’d have to read the full article to get the real story, but a first thought is to ask why the U.S. government was funding college religious degrees in the first place.
Govt paid for kids to be indoctrinated to want more govt.

This was a total money laundering operation follow the money from govt pre paying for a service to using the kids to pay it back with interest to Obama brotherhood installing deans.
Apparently they do not mean working for the state or county?
Colleges themselves could give out the loans so then they’d have an incentive to getting the students a job so they can pay it back
They should put some common sense questions on college entrance exams, the colleges and universities would loose all that sucker money they get from the kids who think that borrowing $25k/year to get a degree in anthropology, philosophy, or performing arts is a good idea.
I mean, if you are a trust fund kid and you just want to spent your parents money partying for 4 years, then have fun! But if you need to borrow your way through college, you might want to take a hard look at what you are going into debt for

I’m going to make a statement a lot won’t like - but the fact is I think this is reprehensible. But let me explain.
The government doesn’t have any right to pick “winners” and “losers”. In order to protect the taxpayer that is funding all of this, the government *SHOULD* assess the likelihood and individual BORROWER will repay the loan, just like any other lender, but if the person is assessed as a good loan risk then it shouldn’t matter what they want to spend their borrowed money on. Rocket science or gender studies. Who cares? Not my call. All I care about is that if the money is lent it gets paid back.
But then the problem is going to be that an honest assessment is going to lend money top plenty of whites and plenty of minorities, but disproportionately to whites, because a key hallmark of “white privilege” is, at least still among most white males, honoring your agreements and paying back the money you promised to pay back. That will then be challenged as racist, and...
The *REAL* problem is putting the government in this role in the first place. Completely unacceptable. The Constitution doesn’t allow for this.
