UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham is expected to announce a trade ban on Israeli settlements tomorrow, an official familiar with the matter confirmed to i24NEWS.
Foreign Minister Ed Miliband will announce them tomorrow morning following a cabinet meeting.
Following the announcement, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich reacted by calling for the immediate expulsion of the British ambassador and denouncing the British government as antisemitic.
National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called for Israel to recognize the Falkland Islands as Argentine in response to the announcement. He said the islands were 'illegally occupied' by Britain and that Israel should sanction the UK until it halts all oil production around the islands
The Times reported that Burnham told President Trump about the proposed ban in a phone call on Monday. No 10 said the prime minister had stressed the importance of the two-state solution.
The Trump administration is expected to make a statement attacking the decision.
The sanctions appear to have been fast-tracked by the government, as Miliband announced on September 1 that new sanctions would be announced in the coming weeks.

Israel could stop the invasion of the illegals into Britain with one small step.
Annex the English Channel into the State of Israel. It would become a No-Go Zone for all of Europe.
This will be a mistake. Israel is all over their systems. The UK traditionally receives technology, cybersecurity collaboration, defense cooperation, and traded goods from Israel. You don’t defecate where you eat.
