FIRST ON FOX: A federal grand jury issued a subpoena to former FBI Director James Comey's longtime friend and advisor on Monday as part of a new investigation into Comey allegedly leaking classified information to the media, multiple law enforcement sources told Fox News Digital.
The subpoena targets former Comey adviser Daniel Richman and indicates that the Justice Department has launched a fresh investigation into the leak of classified information to the New York Times. The issue was also investigated under President Donald Trump's first term, but was cut off when former President Joe Biden entered office.
The new investigation is in addition to the one centered on Comey's alleged threats against Trump.

The indictment accused Richman, previously a special FBI employee, of communicating with reporters about investigations into 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in that year's election loss to President Donald Trump.

This is going to be an unproductive time consumer. The DC swamp machine will stall it until Trump is out of office and then it will be dismissed. Just my sense and observation of how things work for the DC criminal cabal.
There's that word again. /SPIT
A federal subpoena to former Comey adviser Daniel Richman indicates
the TRUMP DOJ has launched a fresh investigation into the FBI’s classified leak to the NYT.
The issue was hot at Trump’s first term, but got pulled when Biden got the office.
REFERENCE: The Alleged Comey Threat In May 2025 occurred when James Comey shared a photo on Instagram showing seashells arranged on a beach to spell out the numbers “86 47”.
Prosecutors and allies of President Trump argue that “86” is well-known slang for “getting rid of or killing someone,” and “47” refers to Donald Trump as the 47th president.
A federal grand jury indicted Comey on two counts, including making a threat to take the life of the president and transmitting that threat across state lines. Each charge carries up to 10 years in prison.
Comey deleted the post on the same day he shared it. He stated he did not know the numbers were associated with violence and thought it was just a political message.
Comey’s lawyers maintain his innocence and plan to fight the charges in court.
They argue the case is a vindictive and politically motivated prosecution.
In one of the other dimensions my preference was followed: B-2 bombing of Iran nuke sites followed by no Iran war, and Trump focused intensely on prosecution of corrupt Dems and ending of soft on crime policies in cities. Midterms more and more with momentum for a big GOP House and Senate wave this year.
I am not allowed to live there.
New stronger worded letter? Traitors should be executed.
Is it possible to go any slower?
These states need to be sued. BIGTIME.
Responded to wrong post.

No one is going to jail.

James Comey’s friend, Columbia University professor Daniel Richman, leaked classified information that Comey gave him. During this leaking period, Richman was apartment-building neighbors with a partner at the law firm that strategized with Fusion GPS operative Natalia Veselnitskaya, the Russian plant who set up Don Jr. in Trump Tower.
“Yes, he is my neighbor,” Amy Wenzel, a partner at Cozen O’Connor, confirmed in a phone conversation with Big League Politics, confirming that they spoke. They live near each other in a Brooklyn high-rise.
