He is now IN CUSTODY. FAFO!
The charges are:
- 3 violations of Article 88: Contempt Toward Officials
- 5 violations of Article 92: Failure to Obey Regulations
- 2 violations of Article 133: Conduct Unbecoming of an Officer

If someone did advise it, they are probably in the civilian world, not living as a G.I.
Both the AP Style Guide and the Military & Veteran Affairs Reporting Guide prefer the specificity of “Air Force officer” over the less descriptive “airman.”

Forgive my ignorance, but isn’t ‘Airman’ an enlisted rank in A.F.? Shouldn’t the headline read ‘Air Force Major Jason Watson...’

The title confused me. Because an airman is a low enlisted rank in the Air Force. It is most certainly not an officer rank.
So I just checked a few other sources. Turns out this Jason Watson guy is an Air Force major. Maybe X should hire me as a title editor.
I guess his chances of making Colonel aren’t looking good.

Not unless AOC is elected president in 2028. Then he’s got a decent chance of being made a Field Marshal.

Technically, everyone in uniform in the Air Force is considered an “Airman.” The lowest enlisted ranks are prefaced by the word Airman, which adds to the confusion. But all of us in uniform are considered “Airmen” wether enlisted, officer, men or women.
I wondered that, too. I think you’re right. ‘Airman’ is probably also correct in a technical sense. Like saying George Patton, jr., was a ‘soldier.’ He was that, and a general officer.
Well, as he’s now up on multiple charges airman basic might be his current rank.
