FIRST ON FOX: ActBlue co-founder Matt DeBergalis pleaded the Fifth Amendment during his closed-door deposition before three key House committees, sources familiar with the matter told Fox News Digital.

The Committee on House Administration, House Oversight Committee, and House Judiciary Committee are conducting a joint investigation into ActBlue, a massive fundraising platform for Democrats, over allegations that lax fraud prevention standards may have allowed foreign donations to seep into U.S. campaigns.

DeBergalis' deposition, which was scheduled for Thursday morning, lasted less than half an hour. Fox News saw DeBergalis entering and exiting the committee room within roughly 25 minutes.

This is theater unless criminal charges are brought.

With criminal charges, the prosecution has to prove their case using evidence, they cant rely on a confession from the defendant, since the defendant can protect themselves for self-incrimination.

This is where forensic accounting and FinCEN need to get involved.

“DeBergalis’ deposition, which was scheduled for Thursday morning, lasted less than half an hour.” Why did he plead the the Fifth, couldn’t have said much in half an hour, except maybe ‘I don’t recall’.

There’s a jail cell or two in the basement of the Capitol. I’ve seen it, unless I was dreaming.

Here is an example of the fraud that ActBlue engages in. Using the following search criteria, the name of the donor, his zip code (78704)and the recipient (ActBlue):

this individual, a food service worker, made 131 donations to ActBlue between January 1, 2024 and today.

The are numerous instances where he donated to ActBlue several times in a single day. For example, on July 14, 2024, he donated 8 times to ActBlue. Two days later, on July 16, he donated 3 additional times to ActBlue.

True. Have you ever known of a committee or oversight hearing to result in an arrest or conviction no matter how much evidence of wrongdoing is revealed?

Fauci’s lackey plead guilty. It means nothing unless he spills the goods on his co-conspirators.

There’s more than enough data to indict these people of campaign finance fraud.

This hearing is a political show where justice goes nowhere.

Why did this person get a closed door deposition instead of a public hearing? Republicans are so stupid. They should at least hold a public hearing so they can show the creep pleading the fifth.

Because the Democrats have no respect for Congress. Only the power that they can wield.
