Trump reportedly made the threat during a phone call with Fox News on Monday morning.
Oman and Iran are in talks to manage shipping traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump, meanwhile, has repeatedly claimed the U.S. will control the strait and has implemented a blockade on ships coming in and out of Iran as he pressures Iran to give up control of the key oil passage.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
Trump also issued an extraordinary warning to Oman when asked about the Gulf nation’s role in talks involving Iran.
"If Oman gets in the way, we’ll bomb the s--- out of them," Trump said.
The Arabs have gotten way too big for their britches.

The number one Goal is, and always will be, that Iran cannot have, in any way, shape, or form, a Nuclear Weapon. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Nuff said.
Oh, man. Regarding the threat against Oman, I was all set to call it fake news. Then I watched the video of the reporter at the link.
Trump is not on the video. But sure looks like Trump really did say it.
The world’s worst “ceasefire” is expiring. Incendiary words, perhaps followed by half-measures, and TACO time. Rinse, repeat.
Good.
I saw something yesterday about a tanker being attacked but I’m not sure if it was current or old news.
If Iran attacks one ship in the Gulf, we destroy 10 bridges or other infrastructure.
Well fine by me if he did
He is speaking the language they understand.
Arab nations are not civilized. They respect only strength.
He might want to finish one war before he starts another.
Is it really that extraordinary? He made a similar threat against Oman in May. Maybe now they’ll start listening after seeing the state that Iran is in.
Good Lord, but this is getting tiresome.

Has Fonzie jumped the shark today?
Blah....blah....blah....
So, if they are “neutral and peaceful” why are they trying to interfere with our operations in Iran?
I think they got the message. How does Iran still have the capability to fire missles and launch drones?
The stockpile was destroyed last year.
The Middle East bombing is so confusing.
Bomb Iran!
Bomb Oman!
Bomb Amman!

Shoot and scoot, that’s my guess.
The quote below is not meant for you, nikos. But it is meant for every overconfident president since 1945.
“If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat.”

We've seen troops pulled back from Gulf bases (and still getting hit in rear basing in Jordan); despite the censorship it's evidence from reports leaking out that they've taken substantial hits. Iraq would be an excellent staging area for operations against Iran, but nope, the US has been kicked out there at the worst possible timing. And now instead of gaining allies Trump is busy burning bridges with his absurd rhetoric. It's one thing to call out ideological adversaries for behaving badly (Canada, Britain, Germany, etc.), but from Greenland to the Gulf Trump has just been pointlessly antagonizing countries and wrecking his own plans over and over again with his words.
