Retired Vice Adm. Robert Harward, the former deputy commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), said Saturday that Iran is entering a “last gasp” as U.S. forces intensify strikes on the regime’s drone and missile infrastructure.
Speaking on “Fox News Live,” Harward said the campaign has shifted from targeting launch sites to destroying Iran’s ability to manufacture the weapons.
“We’re at the point where we’re going after all their facilities that produce it, not just where they launch it,” Harward said. “This could be the last gasp of a desperate regime in Iran using everything they have to stay in power.”
Harward also dismissed concerns that the U.S. could deplete its own missile stockpiles, arguing Iran’s military capabilities are eroding much faster than America’s.
“We’ll know when the war is truly over and Iran will capitulate is when they no longer have missiles and drones,” he said. “The goal is to completely eradicate all of them and their ability to present threats.”
He added that Iran’s long history of cyberattacks against U.S. institutions makes recent cyber incidents consistent with the regime’s past behavior.

US public opinion will shift dramatically if Iran sabotages US infrastructure.
With all due respect, how does this retired admiral know this?
They all have contacts that are still active.............
Do you believe him? Iran’s ability to manufacture weapons-you mean they didn’t do it in the beginning?
So is it a “last gasp” or “could be the last gasp”.
?
Iran is down to using their herd of camel mounted rock launchers.
> We’ll know when the war is truly over and Iran will capitulate… <
I hope I’m wrong. But I don’t think Iran will capitulate. No more than Imperial Japan capitulated due to conventional bombing.
Crazy religious fanatics are like that.
I suspect that the admiral will eventually have to change his requirements for when the war is over.
Why would they capitulate if they run out of missiles? You still need to remove them from power.
On May 30, 2005, U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney stated in a CNN Larry King Live interview that the violent rebellion in Iraq was in its "last throes."
Missles don’t keep them in power, killing their own people does.
I obviously am not privy to their target list. I have assumed that their strategy was to so damage IRGC so that the national army might take power, or even a popular revolution might break out.
To that end I would think they would be targeting IRGC and Basij camps and troop concentrations. I keep hearing about attacks on launchers and infrastructure, all important, but not going to topple the mullahs.
Why does this remind me so much of the rosey reports we used to get out of Vietnam?
The IRGC needs to be utterly eradicated. They are far worse than Charlie, worse even than the Bushido Japanese. They WELCOME dying in service to their satanic deity.
This cannot be done from the air.
Neither can it be done with a land invasion, short of a scorched earth campaign, summarily executing every IRGC and Basij throughout the country.
The people of the US do not have the stomach for that.
The ONLY way I see defeat for the IRGC is violent revolution within Iran, carried out by the Iranian people.
They must be armed and trained, and have coordinated close air support.
Meanwhile, the American military needs to SHUT THE F UP!
Do not talk to the press.
Do not give the people false hope with rose colored glasses.
Let the PRESIDENT address the people.
He is Commander in Chief.
And he is more aware of the political realities.
“and Iran will capitulate is when they no longer have missiles and drones,” he said”
Not sure about that.
Fox News has turned into a propaganda outlet for the Trump administration.
Like everyone else I’ve been hearing for the last few months that Iran’s military capability is virtually non-existent and the regime is about to collapse. I don’t believe any of them any more.
the final last gasp of all that they are
It’s not how many weapons they have. They just need to launch a few here and there for effect.
Has the smell of Ukraine War propaganda about Russia folding yesterday.
He's not just any retired admiral. He's the former deputy commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM). CENTCOM, as you're no doubt aware, is centrally involved in Iran war planning, with CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper recently proposing a 10- to 14-day intensive aerial campaign to cripple Iranian offensive capabilities.
