An Arizona man showing off a gun he was trying to sell at a yard sale wound up shooting a person in their colon and another in the hand, groin and leg, according to police.
Clarence Bodiford, 61, immediately fled the scene after accidentally opening fire on the two victims as they were shopping at a yard sale he was having in the Pima County community of Green Valley, police say. Bodiford went on the run for more than two months before being caught in Florida this week and arrested. He is facing two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Is it just because he shot too low?
Clarence sounds like the type of guy that knew nothing but was always right.
(I reckon a squatter could have just moved right in.)
The negligent shooter was a friend of the resident who was hosting the yard sale, and retrieved his own gun from his vehicle to show it to landscapers working next door who were asking if there were any firearms in the yard sale.
Stupidity on top of stupidity. Did he really think he was going to get away? Now he has a couple extra charges added. And fleeing undermines prosecutors' willingness to accept the "it was a tragic mistake" defense.
Ah, that makes more sense.
Maybe he was selling the pistol because he realized he wasn’t responsible enough to own one……
Rule One: All guns are always loaded.
Recently, a friend was showing me some of his armory and handed me a pistol which I’m sure he believed was not loaded. I checked it. Because OF COURSE I checked it. Full magazine properly seated and one in the chamber.
With his permission, I cleared it and we continued the ‘show and tell’ session.
Tragedy averted.
Training matters.
Good training and good habits save lives.
hold on, let me pull this to make sure it isn’t loaded...

Oh, Magoo.
No you damn racist Yogi Bear, this is not black people. The shooter is white and probably same for the two people this buffoon shot.
“...to show it to landscapers working next door”
A clumsily written article.
How unusual. I hope it doesn’t become a trend.
Thanks I blew that one
bkmk
In a weird coincidence, another Clarence Bodiford passed away on July 26th. For the record, he was black.
