Iran’s government is unlikely to feel significant impact or soften its negotiating position as a result of new rounds of U.S. military strikes like those now underway, according to a new intelligence assessment described by current and former U.S. officials.

If they’re not moved, then they will be leveled.
Laughable argument. If you wipe them off the face of the Earth, there is no reluctance in negotiations to deal with.

Such a well-respected news source...
So, horse manure, as always. Remember those 51 who said the Hunter Biden laptop story was false?
The strikes are not the end point. The strikes are to deprive the IRGC of capability.
The totally destructive end point will be the occupation and control of Kharg Island.
The end of all revenue streaming from the oil will effectively starve the IRGC to death.
Israeli-induced US airstrikes caused significant damage and structural
collapse to surface buildings and key sites like Iran’s Natanz and Isfahan.
But Iran’s deeply buried components and underground enrichment networks (those at Fordow) remain largely intact, with the program delayed by a few months to two years...... depending on the intelligence assessment.
For further reading, consult official reporting from the Arms Control Association.
Until you kill the IRGC, they will never stop. I am afraid there we are in a no-win, Vietnam again, type situation.
and the other islands and ports to boot.
Terminate a few more rounds of Iran’s leaders to where they have a new government. Remove the head of the snake.
True. And we don’t actually have to occupy Kharg Island to control it.
And they will still resist.
And China would never allow us to control the oil they need.
I don’t know the “good” answer to this problem. I just think this will last longer and get messier than we ever imagined.
Until we start dropping containers full of weapons for the people on the streets, the IRGC will continue to run things. The problem with that plan is that we allowed 30,000 potential revolutionaries to be massacred in the streets in January.
“U.S. strikes unlikely to move Iran, intelligence reports say”. Move Iran to Iraq, that way they’re all in the same place.
Maybe it’s because they know what hit them. If they didn’t know then I would expect that they’d have more respect for the will of Allah. /s
One thing air power can do is to modify Iranian behavior.
Iran hates Israel and wants to wipe them off the earth. They attacked Israel with missiles previously.
Right now, Iran is not attacking Israel although Iran is killing Americans.
Do you know why Iran is not attacking Israel?
These days on this forum my friend it’s not enough to check a source for trustworthiness....now the original poster must be scrutinized as well.
There is now a growing number of those who tend to continually post stories that contain an air of doubt and negativity when it comes to conservatives, President Trump and our country itself.
Only way to know is review the posters “in forum” posts, and most of us are just plain old too lazy to do that.
31 Iranian refineries + 31 Israeli missiles = Good times for Iranian shoe repairmen
Note: Iranian thugs could still buy some gasoline off Iraq in exchange for confiscated luxury cars, rugs, gold, and jewelry.
The people getting the Iraqi gasoline would stand out.
Nothing will ever disabuse Liberals of their conviction that hating Trump justifies all their treachery and treason!
Is this the same “intelligence report” that warned us about 9-11, the Covid jircle cerk, the Socialist RAT takeover we’re now seeing?
From the get-go, the Israeli/Mossad cabal assured Trump that after depleting US arms stockpile,
their 10,000 bombing sorties would “so weaken Iran” it’d be all over “in a matter of weeks.”
Iran would be rendered so “ineffective,” they’d even be “unable” to close the critical oil transport route ...... the Strait of Hormuz.
Oops, darn it all.
Israel and the Mossad “forgot” (/s) to tell Trump that the “weakened” Iran and its Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) would be supplied with military hardware, precursor chemicals, and logistical support by an international network involving state actors and foreign front companies, particularly from China, Russia, and localized proxies.
Intelligence indicates Chinese entities supply the IRGC with precursor chemicals (such as sodium perchlorate) for ballistic missile fuel and dual-use components for drone manufacturing.
Russia and Iran operate a self-reinforcing exchange, where Russia supplies military hardware, aviation parts, and technological support in return for Iranian-made drones.
The US Treasury’s “Office of Foreign Assets Control” tracks and sanctions foreign aviation, transport, and front companies operating out of jurisdictions like Hong Kong, Italy, and Nigeria that act as intermediaries to obscure IRGC procurement.
