The US is redirecting an armada of warships — including two aircraft carriers – toward Iran as President Trump threatens to reinstate the blockade on Iranian ports.
Maritime trackers on Friday spotted the USS Abraham Lincoln and USS George H.W. Bush entering the Gulf of Oman — a move experts in military planning say would be necessary to re-establish the blockade that crippled the Iranian economy.
“More than 20 US Navy warships are patrolling waters across the Middle East as CENTCOM forces continue promoting regional security and stability,” US Central Command posted to X this week.
Asked about restarting the blockade that choked off supplies to Tehran, CENTCOM declined to comment on “operational updates.”
The aircraft carriers were spotted within Iran’s missile range, raising their risk level, according to the trackers.

Iran can do it the easy way or the hard way.

I hope it’s not a 12 hour thing which “helps restart negotiations”. Because that would be stupid.
You don’t need to blockade a port that is destroyed.

This war could have been over two months ago, but Trump lives under the delusion that he's the great "deal maker". These aren't Wall Street real estate moguls he's dealing with. They are bat sh*t crazy muslim zealots. They are playing an old man in his dotage.
The Chinese will break the blockade if they need oil, and maybe even if they don’t.
Do not bomb nor occupy Kharg Island. Iran will need the facilites in the future for income and rebuilding if their leadership is not insane as they are now.
Take out the pumping stations on the mainland. This renders Kharg Island into zero economic importance. If Iran tries to rebuild the pumping station, repeat as necessary. Do the same for the small percentage of oil that is not exported via Kharg Island.
....... Unfortunately, in this case, that does seem to be the recurring trend. Unfortunately when one keeps doing the same thing with the expectation of different Results .... It doesn't portend a very optomistic outcome .... Just Sayin'

It will be done at a time calculated by the President to have maximum positive effect for the GOP in the mid-term election.

I don’t have the answer but a couple of thoughts.
China needs the oil. China is not interfering in our fight.
Gasoline prices.
I heard an analyst yesterday say that Chinese naval warships were headed towards the Straits of Hormuz. What if they are there to guard Chinese tankers picking up Iranian oil? Do we really want to start WW3 over this bs?
China doesn’t want that and they don’t have the naval capability to get into a shooting war so far from home.
B-52s will solve this problem. Bomb them with dumb bombs until they are back in the stone age. It will take them 50 years to rebuild.
