I also realize this article is from the New Republic and thus is probably trash. Is this libel? At the risk of appearing naive, how can these publications get by with publishing these types of stories?

Is it possible her claim is true, yes. I can accept that. What I cannot accept is the hypocrisy of how much effort is put on trying to justify a “maybe” for Trump and completely ignore the evidence on Clinton or others.
