Israeli officials were left “stunned” by US President Donald Trump’s public criticism of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel’s decision to strike Hezbollah targets in Beirut. They are increasingly concerned that a prospective US-Iran agreement could sharply restrict Israel’s military freedom of action in Lebanon, Channel 12 reports.
A senior Israeli official close to Netanyahu tells the Hebrew network that officials in Jerusalem were taken aback by Trump’s remarks, which included accusing the premier of having “no fucking judgement,” saying: “Trump’s statement is a resounding slap in the face. The restrictions [on Israel] have been taken to another level. The expectation that we will not strike anywhere in Lebanon is incompatible with the behavior of a strategic ally.”
The report adds that, during one of his recent conversations with Netanyahu, Trump proposed that Israel withdraw physically from southern Lebanon as part of the broader understandings being discussed with Iran. Netanyahu reportedly rejected the idea outright, arguing that it would serve neither Israeli nor American interests.

Trump: Israeli strike on Beirut shouldn’t have happened; none of Lebanon should be struck in future
What makes you think this is a lie? The last time you liars claimed what Trump did wasn’t true was later confirmed by the White House.
Do you not know this obscene and temperamental attitude of President Trump is typical of him? This type of behavior is exactly who he is.
Trump better realize ambitious Netanyahu’s out to screw him bigtime.
It’s so obvious that Netanyahu’s going after Lebanon to polish
his and Israel’s international credentials, at Trump’s expense.
Hopefully Trum has had enough.
We shall see.
The idea that we have a President of the United States recognizing Iranian state sovereignty over a terrorist organization which is occupying a country 1,000 miles away is disturbing, at least.
This is a disastrous mistake.
Trump to Axios: Netanyahu has "no f*****g judgment" but Iran deal still on
"It is so bad — I couldn't believe it. An hour before we are supposed to sign the deal."
Trump acknowledged Hezbollah attacked Israel first but stressed it didn't cause any damage and nobody had been killed.
"Why did Bibi have to do a f*****g attack? I was so pissed off. I let him know. He has no f******g judgement. I let him know that," Trump said.
“It’s so obvious that Netanyahu’s going after Lebanon to polish his and Israel’s international credentials, at Trump’s expense.”
You’re delusional.
Blinded by hate.
Hezbollah is Iran’s right arm, if you get rid of Hezbollah, Iran is pretty much finished, Iran knows that notice they dont say “Dont bomb Gaza” NO, they say “Dont touch Hezbollah” because Iran could give a rats behind about Hamas anymore, Hamas is pretty much annihilated anyway, its Hezbollah that is at full strength that need to be taken care of

Israelis are “stunned” by Trump’s public criticism of Israel striking targets in Beirut....
they fear a US-Iran agreement could “sharply restrict” Israel’s military in Lebanon.
Well, sure and begorah.....they finally “got it.”
Took the dumb Israelis awhile to get the picture, didn’t it?
Check and verify before giving any credence to his/her posts.
This isn't about Trump, as much as he seems to think it is.
You are correct. False quotes, misleading and sometimes contradictory statements are part of any conflict.
LOL ! The tables turned.
Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates:
“Every President I worked for, at some point in his Presidency, would get so pissed off at the Israelis that he couldn’t speak. It didn’t matter whether it was Jimmy Carter or Gerry Ford or Ronald Reagan or George Bush. Something would happen and they would … rant and rave around the Oval Office.”
You desperately want to be the Ilse Koch of the 21st Century!
Israeli’s mumbled: “The expectation that we will not strike anywhere
in Lebanon is incompatible with the behavior of a strategic ally.”
Well, sweetheart, it wasnt very nice that you secretive Israelis
told Trump about “your intended behavior” AFTER the fact.
Iran, in another successful attempt to troll Trump, sent Hezbollah agents to attack Israel knowing that Netanyahu would strike back. Which he did.
Which allows Iran to blow off the deal. Which sent Trump into a blind profane rage as he blamed Bibi.
‘Why Did Bibi Have to Do a F*cking Attack?!’ Trump Rages at Netanyahu Over Israel Strikes On Beirut — Says He’s ‘So Pissed Off’

Netanyahu brazenly rejected Trump’s request that they withdraw,
arguing that it would serve neither Israeli nor American interests.
Since when did Netanyahu get appointed a “defender of American interests?”
