Jimmy Kimmel probably isn't having a bad week. Yes, he's an awful human being and, as I wrote in a recent column, rather emotionally unstable. He's currently getting what he wants, however.
Like so many Trump Derangement Syndrome Democrats who have large media presences, Kimmel loves trolling conservatives. Sadly, conservatives love taking the bait and feeding the troll. Unfortunately, every time that the conservative outrage machine goes nuts about something that Kimmel says, we give his lunacy oxygen and him the attention he so desperately craves. I'm quite the attention you-know-what myself — I know whence I speak on matters such as this.
An old showbiz adage says that there is no such thing as bad publicity. It isn't true 100% of the time — Harvey Weinstein won't be making a comeback — but it does apply quite often to leftist entertainers. The shrieking, low-IQ harridans on The View routinely spill vile, hate-filled lies when speaking about President Trump, or most Republicans for that matter (they do have some pet squishes). Rather than being taken to task for anything they say, they are repeatedly fêted everywhere outside of conservative media.
They're all trolls too, by the way.

Kimmel thrives on attention; starve him of it.
Depriving him of his TV audience would be a good way to do that. Station licenses should be pulled as long as he is on the air.
We tried that but they continue to wish us dead OUT LOUD, and then people are acting on it....
I agree. Instead of a U.S. President demanding Kimmel be fired (can you imagine the Conservative uproar if a President Obama demanded Rush Limbaugh be fired), it would have been better for Trump to have simply asked “Why does ABC keep Kimmel employed”.

As advertisers get fewer and fewer customers and lose money, THEY will react.
The left ran countless campaigns to get Rush fired. Most notable was when Obama/pecker Puss Pelosi had a gal testify in support of Obamacare’s free birth control. She said that she needed $3000 a year. Tongue in cheek Rush implied that she was a sexually loose woman. The howls for his head were deafening. Rush even apologized.
Last time, they fired him, but Trump and his administration saved him. If it looks like Trump is ordering it, they can’t/won’t do it, they will be obligated to defend him.
No. Like Crassus who crucified 6,000 of Spartacus rebels along the Appian way, Trump should crucify Kimmel as a warning to others who incite assassination attempts on him.

I stream Johnny Carson hosted Tonight Show reruns to be entertained. Non of the current late night hosts have any wit, humor, class or appeal.
CNN and MSNBC have low audiences, and low -rated shows. Have CNN or MSNBC been cancelled? Nope, the democrats make sure that their voices continue to be heard. Collectively, the left’s media outlets outnumber the right’s. Kimmel might have a low number of viewers, but they still support him. And now that he’s received huge publicity with the Melania ‘joke’, he’s got a bigger audience, even if just a temporary tick up.
Fine.
Send him to streaming.
He should not be allowed to do this on public airwaves.
Trump didn’t save him.
Hollyweird did.
And they’re doing it again.
Did Obama as President ever say Rush should be fired and direct the FCC to investigate licenses for the networks or stations carrying Rush’s show?
Complaining is one thing but as an official suggesting legal action is something else.
They dobt have good rating or demos, either.
When will folks get it through their heads that this isn’t about entertainment or profits anymore.
Kimmel’s contract was given a one year extension in December.
To take him past the midterms.
Obama didn’t have to demand Rush be fired. Like any good mafia boss he only needed to signal his wishes to put a hit on Rush with a raised eyebrow. His flunkies would run off to do his bidding. Rush said the same thing many times.
There are thousands of other things to watch.
Find one.
