We are currently six weeks into the conflict, and you are saying that it has to "end now," because we would otherwise be fighting a war "halfway."
The same could have been said about the U.S. in mid-January of 1942. At that point in time (six weeks after the bombing of Pearl Harbor), the U.S. had yet to bomb a single Japanese city, or to land a single pair of U.S. boots on Japanese home territory.
