How to Understand the Well-Being Gap between Liberals and Conservatives
American Affairs ^ | 4/8/2026 | Musa al-Gharbi

In a similar vein, studies have repeatedly found that conservatives—both politicians and laymen—tend to be more conventionally attractive than liberals (and have better sex lives). Moreover, people who are healthier in childhood have been shown to be more likely to become conservative as adults. Meanwhile, people with high measured cognitive ability are also more likely to support economic conservatism (and cultural liberalism).

The happiness gap between conservatives and liberals is real and growing. This gap should be exploited to the utmost to attract more young voters as a bulwark against communism.

It is really pretty simple.
Most people are idiots.
The upper quartile take care
of idiots as a matter of
keeping the social peace.
I have an IQ over 135 and I don’t
think I’m smart.
I have worked for idiots that think
they know everything.

I think the double digit IQs are outbreeding the triples.

I tend to be cautiously happy-go-lucky with a healthy skepticism. I make my own damned luck to a certain extent, one way or another. Sometimes my dumb luck lands me in an environment where I just can’t win with some people and sometimes I’m where it doesn’t matter one way or the other, but it’s no crisis. It’s just another tricky day.

I've noticed that myself. Sickly, fretful young people are always, always liberal.

We subsidize the breeding of low-IQ, thuggish people at home and abroad.

It is the fodder of Communist Revolutions.

Attitude of gratitude.

The Conservative knows that life is naturally hard and to be grateful that he lives in a time when food and housing is abundant, medical care is available and the times are peaceful.

The liberal is thinks that life is only hard because of people not giving things to him because they are big meanies and he hates them.

Or as a book I once read said,

You need a check up
From the neck up
To eliminate stinking thinking
And prevent hardening of the attitudes

I subscribe to what Frank Zappa said, “Don’t expect anything, and if you do get something, it’s a bonus.”

Not a bad way to look at it if slightly cynical.

Today I woke up in a soft warm bed and got up in safety. I gathered and prepared food for my family in just minutes.

They left the house to go to a place of learning. My husband left the house to go to work where his biggest danger will be from an irate customer.

They will come home tonight to a clean, warm safe house where hot food will be waiting. Hot clean water is available for clean up and their only question will be what entertainment they will want to choose.

Since time began if you told people of such a place they would think you were talking about heaven. But we have it here on earth and it is cheap.

We live surrounded by man made miracles and all some people do is be angry and complain.

It is important to keep in mind (and yes, very difficult to keep in mind) that most of these people are indoctrinated.

The indoctrination that you received and the indoctrination that I received was incomplete compared to what kids receive today.

These indoctrinated kids grow up. But as adults they only have a small handful of the information that they should have. They’re only allowed to have enough information to vote for Democrats.

The point I’m making is that in being dumb, in being indoctrinated, they’re victims of the government school complex. They absolutely are. They are victims. The schools are victimizing people by robbing them of a full education.

Precious few of those remaining in existence.

“In response to findings like these, some have speculated that the natural advantages and better treatment that some people enjoy predispose them toward conservatism (to justify the inequalities they benefit from).”

This is how we get to Harrison Bergeron. The entire “Awokening” is to give the incompetent and unattractive access to the attractive and the labor of the incompetent or they will drag us all down to their level.

Then the Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return.

More are around then you think.

Yeah, we have to pay for it. But that has been the case through out history.

My apologies for all the times I’ve treated you otherwise.
