Trump intervenes as millions of gallons of crap sully Potomac River after sewage pipe rupture

President Trump is literally “draining the swamp.”

The commander in chief ordered the feds to intervene and coordinate cleanup efforts in the Potomac River Monday after a six-foot sewer pipe burst open during a cold snap last month.

The pipe — which belongs to DC Water and was located in Cabin John, Md., just northwest of Washington — collapsed on Jan. 19, unleashing approximately 243 million gallons of raw sewage that had overflowed from the collapse site as of Feb. 6, per the utility.

“There is a massive Ecological Disaster unfolding in the Potomac River as a result of the Gross Mismanagement of Local Democrat Leaders, particularly Governor Wes Moore of Maryland,” Trump chided on Truth Social.

“It is clear Local Authorities cannot adequately handle this calamity,” the president added. “Therefore, I am directing Federal Authorities to immediately provide all necessary Management, Direction, and Coordination to protect the Potomac, the Water Supply in the Capital Region, and our treasured National Resources in our Nation’s Capital City.”

What ashame. The Potomac has gotten so much cleaner since the late seventies, but sewage spills from Maryland and DC seem to still frequently happen.

One of the contributors to the failure was tens of thousands of "wipes" clogging the pump. Seriously. Read the label: "do not flush"

Maryland’s governor Moore has come out and said that the part that failed leading to the sewage spill in the Potomac was the responsibility of the federal government. So we’ll see how this works out.

The political leaders who cry climate change, save the planet, save the fish, etc have destroyed not only the Potomac but the Chesapeake Bay.

Per NOAA… The Chesapeake Bay is the nation’s largest estuary. Its 64,000-square-mile watershed encompasses one of the most economically significant regions of the United States. More than 18 million people live in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. The Chesapeake produces about 500 million pounds of seafood each year, supporting jobs in both commercial and recreational fishing and bolstering the regional economy.

and this is how the Defenders of the Planet respond! Imagine if a private company had such a spill and did nothing? How would the Defenders of the Planet react?

Autopen and Jamie Raskin spent infrastructure dollars on the pipeline to build it back better.
Just as the new pipe finishing touches were applied (??) the pipe burst, sending thousands of gallons of raw shite and toilet paper down the river
Where is Jamie Raskin, why is Jamie not working for his District?

Harkens back to hurricane Katrina and New Orleans saga of another democrat run city that falls short of everything but excuses. Blame Brownie and Bush FEMA. Flood pump lives mattered.
Snow removal is another conundrum for the warm climate environ morons and their facilitators.

The Potomac Interceptor system, which is more than six decades old, carries about 60 million gallons of sewage each day

Look for disasters like this to happen more frequently in Blue cities. The infrastructure is decades old with very poor maintenance. And the Dem administrations that run the cities have absolutely no idea how to handle a crisis that comes from them breaking down or keeping them maintained. All the city money goes to corruption and grift.
