President Donald Trump joined world leaders for a signing ceremony in Switzerland on Jan. 22 for his "Board of Peace."

Trump suggested during the presentation that a peace settlement connected to Russia's war in Ukraine was "coming very soon." Ukrainian officials did not immediately return a request for comment on Trump's assertion.

The declaration came shortly before Trump and Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks in Davos on the sidelines of an international summit.

Little z has demanded, many times, that there will not be peace until Ukraine gets back all of its original territory.

Little z’s Magic Pen-s can take on half of all the Russians, but he needs help with the other half.

Maybe. Ukraine is hurting and Russia’s offensive isn’t succeeding quickly.

“Russia took out the Kiev electric grid, people are clearing out.”

The Mayor told civilians to leave days ago.

No word on possible Moscow evacuations yet.

...The Mayor told civilians to leave days ago.....
Because large parts of Kiev do not have heat, and no prediction of when power will be restored

Yes, it would be.

—A war is taking a nations future (young people) and pushing them into a meat-grinder.

—A war makes a small minority rich, while the vast majority suffers and the economy tanks.

Sometimes wars are unavoidable. They are “truly” thrust up one.

But this war was unnecessary, avoidable, and foreseeable.

The true scary part for me is that this war PROVES two theories that apply even to the highest levels in our leadership or institutionally/organizationally.

1.) Humans in large groups become irrational:

https://www.waldenu.edu/online-masters-programs/ms-in-psychology/resource/why-do-people-act-differently-in-groups-than-they-do-alone

2.) Emotions supersede reason or feelings override logic:

https://www.theladders.com/career-advice/your-emotional-brain-is-smarter-than-your-brain-thinks#:~:text=Studies%20have%20shown%20that%20when,cked:%20A%20Book%20About%20Hope.

https://medium.com/@julian.frazier.phd/feelings-come-first-how-emotions-hijack-our-ability-to-think-rationally-a1ad70ab683b

You would expect better from folks that are highly educated, experienced, with a staff, SME’s, policies, simulations, and a free media to ask questions. But no. Experience, intelligence, a more advanced culture, specialized institutions to deal with the subject, do not prevent irrational decision making.

Basically, group conformity, group-think, emotional amplification, social identify and anonymity, tribal thinking, and the stress of over-stimulation creates a scenario where people that may be smart on an individual level go along with irrational or immoral behavior in a group setting.

This was a war between nations with leaders that have been in international politics for decades (Biden / Putin / Scholz / Macron / Johnson), that are supposedly highly educated, populations with a high literacy rate, specialized institutions (NATO) and think tanks, a supposedly free media, and they made the dumbest, most idiotic decisions imaginable that led to a completely unnecessary, avoidable and foreseeable war where things kept escalating between two nuclear powers.

Trump managed to end the constant escalation (that happened right away), but hopefully we can end this mess soon by not just stopping the hostilities but setting the conditions on the ground that prevent this from reigniting in the future.

This is a NATO proxy war started by arms merchants and broken treaties. The arms merchants haven’t changed their minds, of course. They aren’t in the line of fire.

The Board of Peace initiative by Trump has sailed by most who fail to grasp the significance of what he has actually done. This Board makes Trump the permanent chairman of world political events and that permanent chairmanship will transition his presidency.
