BTW, I went to Cuba with a few friends long before it was legal. We stayed at good hotels and were welcomed with open arms in the cities. We were a bit hassled when we went to poorer areas of the country, which were pathetic. People were afraid to be seen with us.
We were followed by government agents to be sure we didn’t do anything illegal like talking with those in the pathetic “resistance”.
