Trump stopped the federal funding. If California wants to collect their state tax dollars in a pit and light the money on fire, there isn't much the rest of the country can do other than watch it burn.

If there’s little supply and demand remains constant, things cost more. If there’s plenty of supply and demand remains constant or declines, they cost less.

Or,

Democrats could insist that if the supply is limited, that the cost must remain the same. At that point, those unlucky who didn't buy while the supply was there, will have to go without the fuel, and would have to park at the site of the next available fuel supply station to be the the lucky ones.

Fuel shortages is what they voted for, so they should get what they vote for.

Sadly, this all trickles out from California to the rest of the country. We *all* are paying for the nonsense California's politicians are doing to that state. And when liberal Californians leave the state for greener pastures (Washington, Oregon, Colorado being examples), they transform the rest places they settle in.

Hell, we're in a a relative conservative area of Central Texas, or at least it was when we moved here seven years ago. By slowly, our city is changing, and not for the better. Our city major for the past several years came from the Berkeley area. They have organized the women in this city to run for office. What was once more male than female for our representation is now overwhelmingly female. All in less than five years time.
