You mean like Hannity’s deal, where it’s only about 99 percent of them who give the other 1 percent a bad name?
I know. I dread November 2026. Some are going to pretend right up until it happens. Righting the ship means admitting some mistakes of cabinet choices are becoming apparent. Can’t have that.
The GOP Congress sucks right along with them.
Trump is kind of the only one with guts. Even if he shoots off his mouth when he shouldn’t.
They hate him. They would hate him even more if he had effective people in a few places that were absolutely necessary to his agenda.
“from an alliance . . .” That wording implies some sort of warfare. Yep.
Thoon is the biggest obstacle, followed closely by Johnson... close enough that it really doesn't matter...
Sounds like more fake ‘news’
It is very rare when the incumbent party has good off year congressional elections.
The numbers are very clear:
The last President to gain seats in an off year election was Bush in 2002 in a wave of patriotism after 9-11.
“an internal FBI report”?……by whom?
Your reporting is better than that Miranda.
I have no strong opinions about Patel or Bonjino, but I recognize a Deep State attack when I see one.
This “damning report” is just a bunch of stuck pigs squealing, so Patel and Bonjino must be over target to catch flak.
This is 100% correct. Kash and Dan have been o the job for less than a year and instead of trying to work with them to turn around this aircraft carrier they run to the media. You’ve had decades of leftist leadership promoting their minions. This turnaround will not be quick, In fact, I’m impressed with what they’ve been able to do in such a short time. Anyone whos ever worked at a large bureaucracy knows this. These are deep state scum within the agency trying to undermine the reforms.
Not so...of her work during the last few months she's only been critical of the FBI regarding the mishandling of the Thomas Crooks info.
20 other stories supporting Trump, dumping on Hochul, Mamdani, and dozens of MAGA supporting perspectives.
I trust her, so this story bears scrutiny. The "old school" contributors are my only suspicion.
If they are not going after Repubs they have nothing to do.
Do you have any idea how hard it is to fire a federal employee? Trump would have a hard time getting it done.
Kash Patel is out of his league and doesn’t seem to be learning on the job. He is a low-IQ pretender who got where he is by saying what Trump wanted to hear. We can’t afford DEI hires in the FBI.
Ya, she may need “material” for stories and/or she may be doing something to undermine them. Things change over time—someone who was once an ally can become a foe.
Isn't it funny, when the NYT uses anonymous sources in a hit piece, FReepers scream BIAS! Pretty quiet in this case. Consumers of news who lap up anything that confirms their pre-existing biases should wise up. They won't, of course, but at least they got some typing practice.
Understandable, a bunch of FBI agents who broke laws and are getting their wings clipped are upset. Kash and Bongino must clean out the hornets nest.
Trump should cut his losses with this guy. The stories about his weird fixation on his girlfriend's security, the private use of government planes, his diva-like behavior with the jacket, and just his apparent incompetence are all adding up.
Miranda Devine is not Maggie Haberman of the New York Times. She doggedly pursued the Hunter Biden laptop story when no other member of the mainstream media would. She has earned a degree of trust. Patel and Bongino are apparently toxic—not to the entrenched careerists at the FBI as we had hoped, but to those who actually welcomed Trump's reforms.
“Do you have any idea how hard it is to fire a federal employee?”
That is why you transfer undesirable federal employees to Antarctica (our summer, their winter) or the Aleutians (our winter).
Any federal employee can be given a six month detail anywhere in the world—even under their union contract (when applicable).
It works.
Most of the criticism is superficial. They haven’t got the deep staters that’s the biggest indictment here. True they have to work with DOJ who also suck. But increased action towards routine crime won’t cut it. Epstein, JFK file while important are not critical.
What do they have on Act Blue, Dems in Congress, vote fraud schemes, Soros. That’s the big threat right in front of us now.
It seems that the housing director Pulte is doing a better job going after the these criminals than DOJ, FBI.
Well there is clearly something wrong with the Blondi/Kash team.
Good response from Bongino. Did anyone really thing that two outsiders like Kash and Bongino were going to be able to go in and fix everything on day one? It takes time and assuming Trump retains faith in them, we should give them enough time to get the job done. Once they’ve been in office a year (and that won’t happen until February of 2026), we can re-evaluate then.
