Billionaire Peter Thiel’s latest 13F didn’t show off a mere trim, but a full-blown exit from AI bellwether Nvidia (NVDA).
It comes at a surprising point when Wall Street’s been busy declaring the chipmaker as virtually untouchable.
Although Nvidia recently surpassed a $5 trillion valuation, Thiel walked away completely, shrinking his fund’s equity book by roughly two-thirds while building it around three megacap names.
That’s far from being a rebalance and more of an emphatic statement.
Thiel had previously warned about AI’s hype cycle running far ahead of its real economics, and his Q3 portfolio shakeup aligns with that view.

Yes, a p/e of 54+ is quite likely too high. Thiel is likely taking great profits he has already booked on Nvidia and will buy back in when its p/e comes down to earth.

Not nearly the biggest for AI or for software and services.
NVida is a chip maker.
AI is software.
I really wish some of the folks writing about this stuff took fifteen seconds to learn anything….something about it. As they write, they know nothing.
one can never go broke taking a profit!
and do remember: buy low, sell high ... but almost no one has the guts to buy low when everyone else is panicking or control their greed and sell high when an investment bubble reaches the level of consciousness where everybody and their uncle’s brother is jumping on the bandwagon ...
Nvidia will greatly exceed estimates, but will sell off post-earnings on future guidance. Their momentum phase is ending, as the inference phase shifts to AMD.
