Five people police say are part of the "South American Theft Group" – a Colombia theft group that police say are targeting Florida homes and businesses – were arrested Oct. 20 after a robbery was caught on police drone camera. Police say the group targeted Asian business owners.
Now, the five suspects are on ICE detainers at the Osceola County Jail.
What we know:
Five people – Wendy Farias-Suarez, Johan Beltran-Prieto, Laura Pedraza-Sarmiento, Julio Lozano-Trujillo and Elkin Cubillos-Jimenez with the "South American Theft Group" – were charged by the Osceola County Sheriff's Office with burglary, grand theft and criminal mischief.
All five suspects, who live in Kissimmee, were booked into the Osceola County Jail with ICE detainers.
The backstory:
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office first identified the group after several significant burglaries, the Osceola Sheriff's Office said.
Authorities said the group spent weeks casing homes and businesses across Central Florida. The South American Theft Group conducted "sophisticated style burglaries," the sheriff's office said, involving several weeks of surveillance on their target's homes or businesses, dribbling a basketball by a home to blend in and setting up trail cameras in the trees.
On Oct. 20, the group traveled in separate cars to the area of Mills and State Road 50 in Orlando. Two men, disguised as landscapers in straw hats and jeans, approached a home – belonging to Asian homeowners – while others acted as lookout, police said.
During this incident, the Orange County Sheriff's Office captured the burglary by drone.
The two men carried a backpack and trash bag that appeared empty, Osceola Police said. They broke into the back door of a home and left approximately 30 minutes later with the bags now appearing to be full, officials said. The group met back up at a Kissimmee apartment complex

“An ICE detainer is a request from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for a local law enforcement agency to hold an individual for up to 48 hours after their release date, giving ICE time to take the person into federal custody for deportation proceedings.”
Interesting.
Arrests on the left coast targeting Asian business owners’ homes, too.

FR THREAD-—Over $1 BILLION is just the beginning of Fraudulent Healthcare
Spending for ILLEGAL ALIENS in Dem state; Including Murderers and Rapists (VIDEO)

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), exposing over one BILLION dollars in fraudulent healthcare spending for illegal immigrants in Democrat-run states, a direct violation of federal law.
“Just in the last few months, in the few states that we’ve examined—less than half a dozen—we’ve identified more than a billion dollars, with a B, of federal tax dollars that have gone to illegal immigrants. We’re actually clawing that money back from those states now.
During a “Fox & Friends” interview with Ainsley Earhardt, Dr. Oz blasted Democrat-led states for abusing taxpayer funds while gas-lighting Americans about the extent of fraud within the Medicaid system. According to Oz, CMS investigators discovered that Democrat-run states like California, Illinois, New York, and Minnesota have been using federal Medicaid dollars to provide full dental, vision, and comprehensive healthcare to illegal immigrants, services that even Medicare recipients don’t receive.
Oz said the Trump administration’s “One Big, Beautiful Bill” was designed to block this very abuse and claw back stolen funds. But now, Democrats in Congress are trying to repeal the bill, which would reopen the floodgates for illegal spending.
The $1 billion figure may just be the beginning. Oz said his agency has only reviewed a fraction of states so far, and the full amount of misused funds could be “significantly higher.”

As far as I am concerned, these thieves deserve “Singapore justice,” where thieves have a hand removed...almost no crime of any sort occurs in Singapore. Following surgery, deport.
