Intentionally acting in concert with other drivers ramming and boxing in
law enforcement vehicles sounds like assault with a deadly weapon, attempted
murder and some sort of conspiracy- I read the article but no mention of
arrests.
I’m sorry but “who drove herself to the hospital to get care for wounds”?
I’m sorry, but something’s not adding up here. Those two statements do not add up.
If “one of the drivers who rammed the law enforcement vehicle” then “drove herself to hospital”?
Both of things cannot be true. Either she’s under arrest regardless of being shot and she’ll be *driven* to the hospital with an officer riding along or...

I remember many many times reading of law-breakers being wounded in their illegal acts and then driving themselves to a hospital seeking treatment. Since hospitals are required to immediately report gunshot wounds it’s not unusual for said criminals to be arrested at the hospital where they are receiving treatment. —- Just sayin’.
This is probably simply another case of INITIAL REPORTS being incomplete and/or somewhat wrong with clarifications and more complete information coming later. Time will tell.

#1 - It’s not an “initial report” - it’s a direct statement from ICE
#2 - Sure, hospitals (healthcare providers generally) *are* required to report gunshot wounds to the police.
This does not address my point.
Per the statement *from ICE*: 1)They’re well aware who she is, 2)She committed a crime and as a result of committing that crime, got shot, but 3)”drove herself to the hospital”.
I’m sorry, but I will reiterate again. That statement is completely, utterly, and laughably illogical. All of those things simply cannot be simultaneously true. They just can’t.
The most logical explanation is that the statement is in error in some way. But, hate me all you want — then it needs to be explained because it’s just not a rational explanation.
That’s what I thought. The agents were likely, unable to arrest her, if they were boxed in by 10 cars, she might have been one of the “outside” cars. If you go to a medical facility with a gunshot wound, that’s going to raise a red flag and attract police attention.
I suggest we just wait until more information comes out, as it certainly will.
If she is that same woman shown above saying we have to **** those people up, well… I don’t really care what happens to her as long as she can’t continue her life of crime and aggression.
This article is clearly (unclearly?) written to try to make the thugs that attacked look less thuggy and more victim-y. (notice the scare quotes)
Without any additional facts, in true Freeper tradition, this is what I think happened.
LaThuggie was driving one of the cars that rammed and boxed-in the Border Patrol vehicle, which necessitated their getting out of the vehicle to try to control the situation and not be literal sitting ducks. They “discovered” she was carrying a weapon, most likely because she at least brandished it from her vehicle while they were now on foot.
Border Patrol took that as a threat, and given the situation they would be foolish not to, so they opened fire on her vehicle. She drove away to escape and was able to get herself to a nearby hospital.
There doesn’t sound like there is any way that the outnumbered Border Patrol would have been able to stop anybody fleeing at that point, with the BP vehicle boxed in and multiple vehicles and thugs involved.
The article and the BP statement were both not optimal.

The *statement* makes no sense. It ends with “evolving situation” and I am a very model of the kind of conservative who eyerolls all things conspiracy theory.
I am simply saying:
This portion of the statement makes absolutely, positively ZERO sense:
While conducting routine patrolling in the greater Broadview area, near the same area of Chicago that law enforcement was assaulted yesterday, our brave law enforcement officers were rammed by vehicles and boxed in by 10 cars this morning. Agents were unable to move their vehicle and exited the car. One of the drivers who rammed the law enforcement vehicle was armed with a semi-automatic weapon. Law enforcement was forced to deploy their weapons and fired defensive shots at an armed US citizen who drove herself to the hospital to get care for wounds.
It’s because Satan is losing and he’s fighting back harder than ever before.
Did DHS arrest the drivers and confiscate the autos? If not, why???
