His so-called apology is fake because he was lying. In those comments after Charlie was killed, Kimmel did claim that the killer was MAGA and that maybe the shot came from one of Charlie’s supporters in the audience cleaning his gun, or something along those lines. What Kimmel said tonight blows right past and ignores that.

I can't tell if he's sincere and even if he was sincere, it was kind of a "I'm sorry you misunderstood me" type apology, which are always lame, but in the end he was forced to grovel and admit he was wrong and I'll take it. I still won't watch his show, but I never did anyways.

This effectively makes anyone who expresses similar views on the assassination of Charlie Kirk a social pariah in the minds of 80% of the public.
