She looks like she's in absolute agony..... God comfort her. Erika Kirk waving from the window of a silver SUV, holding a cross in her hand. She has long blonde hair and wears sunglasses. The vehicle is parked near a stone building with lights visible in the background.

Loved that while Charlie was himself an Evangelical, was so respectful of Catholics and acknowledged his and Erika’s attendance to a Saturday vigil this past Easter at a Catholic Church and the beauty of it all.

She’s not “waving”. She’s crying and holding up a cross, I assume to show us she’s leaning on Jesus to get through this.

When I saw the horrible news come in, it was for her and those two beautiful babies who I literally cried for. Just kills me.

It’s especially hard because Charlie was not some in-your-face bomb-thrower and hate-spewer, everyone who knew him admired him as a good and decent person and he entire public persona was to encourage dialog and mutual respect.

This murder is something we can lay at the door of the US 'media'. The media has always had a great latitude in it's function and in exchange they are meant to keep everyone honest. They have for decades failed to hold up to THEIR end of that bargain. But, they still enjoy the many (and increasing) perks they are guaranteed.

Consequently, people like Kirk (though he represents the pinnacle of this movement) step into the breach and speak for moderation and for balanced, sober discussion of facts. These people take the place of a media that has long since voluntarily and openly surrendered its position in this culture.

He never told people to think his way, but rather to think their own mind and to know that they are not howling in the wilderness. When in college, I never was courageous enough to feel that anyone else held the same views that I did. No one was there for me me!

Silencing one voice will not end the effort. If anything, the Conservative element will certainly consolidate its status and move forward with greater energy...thanks to Charlie Kirk.

Nothing will take the place of Charlie Kirk, he'll be remembered with gratitude and love. No one deserves what was done to him.

Charlie was a role model in so many areas of his life. He was the very epitome of how we should conduct ourselves, even (maybe especially) when we deal with people who differ in opinion or anything else. He would not approve of some the violent responses and revenge mongering that we're seeing on our side.

Scummy national evening news captioned that as "waving at supporters", as if she was in a festive homecoming parade or something. They don't want to give an inch on decency and respect.
