I had to go read the whole thread to see what wardaddy was asking me to comment on. If it’s the importance of spending more time chasing the reputed Epstein Files, I agree with what rxsid says on post 45. I don’t think there is anything to find.
The evidence that was produced got Epstein to plead guilty to two serious crimes. That same evidence earned Maxwell a 20 yr conviction. If Epstein or Maxwell had proof of others committing similar crimes, I think that they would have used it to bargain with. For leniency or just to see that others wouldn’t get away with it.
On the subject of banning, the Bush cabal eliminated a lot of good posters here for the crime of objecting to Dubya’s push for amnesty and other idiotic policies. That worm certainly turned.

I’ve been around for awhile as well, 2004. We’ve always had agitators here, not a new thing. I have no problem with people that disagree with an opinion, but we have people here that their sole purpose is to take FR down, or to cause as much damage as possible. I love Jim, but I think he’s allowed some posters that have no business being here, to continue with their BS. I won’t bother naming names, I think you guys know most of who I’m talking about. I believe we have driven some very intelligent, long time posters, away from FR.
Any Russia/Ukraine thread these days looks like leftists and conservatives screaming at each other even thought they're on the same side on most other issues.
The attacks against one another in those threads should result in temporary bans for those folks, just so this site/forum can be cleaned up.
I don't comment much but read a lot here. When personal attacks and even some dumb knee-jerk (everything is DEI, etc) reactions happen, I leave.

Much fewer than in years past. There’s a lot of reasons for that including the ones TheRake mentions in #68.
For many it has morphed into a chat fest that reminds me of worst aspects of twitter.
