What is the point in rebuilding while they are in a war with Russia? Or is this a meaningless pledge of money in the future?

Maybe the weekend of September 1, 2025 the EU can hold Jerry Lewis style Labor Day telethon.
Have it in Paris, the French like Jerry Lewis.

“… The European Union and development banks also signed 10 agreements worth 929.3 million euros at the Rome conference. The World Bank through in $200 million as well for good measure. “Rebuilding Ukraine is not just about our country. It’s also about your countries, your companies, your technology, your jobs,” Zelensky said….”
********************************************************
You can bet your boots that “rebuilding Ukraine” does not envision spending a single penny or a single Euro toward rebuilding the portions of (largely Russian speakers) Ukraine that has been occupied by the Russians. It’s in those areas that much of the housing stock has been destroyed. A significant amount of that destruction has been done using Western supplied weaponry. Just sayin’.

The dishonesty and outright fraud that is built into U.S. government accounting should make it easy for American taxpayers to foot the bill.

If a bank lends money to support exports to Ukraine but the borrower fails to repay, the government-backed institution will take the loss. The fraud is baked in...

Rebuild a ruthless dictatorship?
When will there be a presidential election in Ukraine?
Zelensky has no legitimacy to still be president.

"What is the point in rebuilding while they are in a war with Russia? Or is this a meaningless pledge of money in the future?"
As a reminder: After WWI, we allowed our banks, and our government to loan money to Germany to help them pay for their war reparations, and rebuild their economy. They borrowed money from France and Britain too. During WWII, Hitler withheld loan and reparations payments. Germany never fully paid back any of those loans. And of course we helped rebuild West Germany after WWII ended. It took Germany almost 100 years to finally pay off their WWI reparations. And Germany, up until last year, hadn't even budgeted 2% of their GDP to fund their own defense that as a NATO member, they had agreed to in 2014. Now it's supposed to be 5%. What a joke.

“This Martin Armstrong guy is a nut.”
He is a lying scamming ex-con.
Eleven years in prison for cheating investors in a failed ponzi scheme.
Three bankruptcies.
The only thing that works for him is fleeting suckers.
I guess money talks or he would have been zotted a long time ago.
