Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene vows to oppose the One Big Beautiful Bill when it returns to the House if there are no changes made to the artificial intelligence provision.
Greene says she was unaware of the AI provision when she first voted for the bill and now argues it would endanger state rights, risk job losses in her manufacturing-heavy district, and open the door to forced property seizures.
Facing criticism for missing the provision, Greene defended her transparency, claiming no other lawmakers publicly flagged the AI clause and pledging to fight any future legislation that limits state authority over AI regulation.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
One final time:
It’s s not looking good optics-wise for the two of them with this arguing.
Trump has done alot of good, and so has Elon, but Trump has not shown himself, even pre-Covid, to be fiscally conservative. He outspent Obama’s 2012-2016 spending levels pre-Covid from 2017 to 2019
Then people are pointing out Trump’s past comments on how deficits are very bad:

So... Elon attacks congress, not Trump, and Trump, instead of defending Congress attacks Elon.
That’s the part that doesn’t sit right...
Continued...
Then others have pointed out the pattern of “We gotta spend lots now to reap the benefits later on” and it looks like a significant portion of the MAGA base wants the border security components in the bill but not the deficits.
It isn’t rocket science: get rid of the AI portion of the bill. They’ve had a CR and now this bill and still they haven’t fully codified DOGE cuts nor cut way back on funding allocated to all the various federal govt agencies.
Plus... the US overspends on military while Europe, for decades now, leeches off of the US to largely defend it while they shift their spending to social welfare programs.
That’s it for today.
God bless everyone.
Good for her! I absolutely agree. they tried to slip this in and we absolutely do not want it or need it.
What if AI healthcare starts killing people. No legal recourse or legal way to stop it???
If they want protections up front, then they absolutely know that something is wrong with AI, or they have crooked tricks up their sleeves.
So they are trying to settle AI policy in this tax bill? :-) These people in Congress are nuts.
Just extend the tax cuts permanently and stop with the scope creep.
I wish they would make it mandatory to disclose who puts crap like this in the bill
Yes, but another significant portion just trusts whatever Trump wants as working out, so they believe the claim that we can grow out of these deficits.
While it certainly is possible to grow out of deficits, there are limits, and we're way beyond ours.
Why would they even put that Ai provision in the bill in the first place? Congress is a complete joke (and evil).
Excellent idea. If it is such a great idea then they should be thrilled to have their names exposed for all to see. :-)

As we all know, that's what they did for the COVID-1984 mRNA "vaccines."
AI, is akin to the opening of Pandor's box.
Is this a big surprise? Green has never done anything we want.
Too late, Honey...
“As we all know, that’s what they did for the COVID-1984 mRNA “vaccines.”
Yes they did. We have already been here. Thank you. :)
China is not the enemy with AI. Those who develop the AI and SELL it to China are the enemy. And those Companies claim to be US Companies. They are ALREADY DOING IT.
She has my full support. It’s time to stop soaking top earners who are actually carrying all the load of this fraud. Bills should contain nothing but elimination of services.
The constitution did not give the federal government the authority to regulate such a thing.
Now Imagine a federal law that says a state has no power to ban or control AI in its state.
The beast commith
i love MTG
but it is not a good look to admit you didnt read the bill
there was plenty of time
You are aware the money allocated for this doesn’t even factor the tariff revenue with a simple 10 percent baseline right
