I am all for it. Trump should advertise that tariffs on all those Chinese goods should be questioned as to why they are made in China and the USA!

The Chinese might not have liked it. Stuff sourced elsewhere might not be so bad. It’s a dynamic situation, though.

I believe Bezos was blindsided by one of his businesses, as a CEO would normally never be involved in this level of detail. He sure put a stop to it though!

I'm old enough to remember when UNIONS were PROUD of the products Made in the USA! Now all they are is the money laundering arm of the Socialist Democrat Party. *SPIT*

All taxes should be displayed.
Corporate taxes should have its own line item of what it costs the consumer.
Tariffs should have its own line item of what it costs the consumer.
Income taxes should have its own line item of what it costs the consumer.
Regulation compliance should have its own line item of what it costs the consumer.
State taxes should have its own line item of what it costs the consumer.
Local taxes should have its own line item of what it costs the consumer.
Every corporation does the American people a huge disservice by hiding it from us.

The call probably went like this:
Trump:
"I've been told you're threatening to quantify the tariff on receipts, WTAF Jeff?" Bezos:
"Donny, do you never use the internet and have you never read a till receipt? They often tell you what taxes you're paying. It's called DISCLOSURE." Trump:
"Nobody else does it!" Bezos:
"(sigh) Here is an example. By the way, your tariff is the 'import charges' line item."
Trump:
"That's wrong! China should be paying the tariff to us!" Bezos:
"(sigh) At what point are you ever going to talk to someone who actually understands how tariffs work?
If you buy from stock in a local warehouse, then the tariff doesn't apply - but if the warehouse needs to import the stock from China, the importer in the USA pays the tariff to the USA. Donny, this is why the Boston Tea Party ought to be taught properly in every school in the land; to remind people that We The People are not above throwing a monarchy or a government out if it insists on stiffing them with punitive tariffs, import duties, sales taxes whatever, on the stuff they are trying to buy."

Would be so easy to spot the Chinese goods without having to look in the fine print.

I’m America First.
But when it comes to buying things it’s confusing.
Displaying tariffs would have help to clarify the confusion.
I know some folk say the manufacturers could label the product.
But that is regulation that invites bureaucrats, NGO’s, and lawyers to get involved which would probably up the cost as well.
I like the idea of putting what the tariff is on a product.
